my result came out today, i got 49OVERALL SCORE..
do i still have a chance of getting into monash pharmacy? :(
AHHHH IM SOO UPSET GUYS....please cheer me up....

dont worry lisafaustina,
people with extremely low percentiles/raw scores still get into pharmacy. although the pharmacy website/faculty says you should be in top 20, their standards have dropped lol. my friends got in, both with percentiles of 41. so you'll be fine :)

95 is fine. Tonnes of people in my year level did poorly in the umat and also didn't get the higher ENTER scores but still got in.
Basically pharmacy is going downhill, i'm not going to comment on that because I could rant on forever, but the lowest I've heard is 92 enter and 40 umat.

What do u mean about downhill? Please explain... I want to do pharmacy but all I hear is about how retarded it is.
You mean:

Academic standard? Social Status? Wage Earnings?

I only care about the first, the other two aren't really bothering me.

earlier on someone mentioned that the unis give preferneitla treatment ot those students with higher s1/s2 scores..
i got 66/56/74, total 66 - 98th oercentile, most fuckig stupid test ever, nebulous as to how to study, tbh i did find medentry helpful, but seirosuly its total bullshit and i know ppl who totallt deserved to get in who onlly got 50-60 prercenitles..

so my quesiton is, after not having been on VN for like 3 months, how badly may/could my s2 score disadvantage me?

wel ddonne to all others, if i hadnt got an interview i 100% would have gone at it again.. and again

a drewam like medicine is so not worth giving up coz of one mediocre score on a bullshit test

You'll be fine. Most people that get in have high S1/S3 together. Generally people either get high S2, or high S1 and S3 together, but obviously this means those with high S1+3 together get in since their overall scores will be higher. Other combinations are quite rare, and all-rounders are near non-existent. As for this bias, I don't even know if it exists in the first place. Just aim for aceing that interview now IMO. ENTER feels like more of a hurdle than something they rank you on.

I've done a few of the medentry drills for each section and am getting higher for S2 (12/15)~ish and S3(16-17/20)~ish and crap for S1 (9/20)~ish..
What could this indicate?

A friend of mine got 90%ile with all her scores being different by 1, and even though i didn't do well, all my scores were very similar. Stupid UMAT><

A person who does well in Section 2 and 3 is basically non-existent, IMO.

Actually, in the very little practice i did, i found section 2 the easiest and found it to be my best, and section 1 the hardest, but often got better scores in sec1 for some reason (took ages to do each question, but they were usually right.. just so slowwww), sec 3 was my worst in them. could have actually improved too!
ahh well,  next year ;)

My scores on 1 and 2 were pretty much equivalent but I bombed on 3 because I didn't finish (back then I had no idea about timing and skipping questions, I just went from start to finish)

I do not understand how you think you can learn section 3, sure you might learn a few tricks and strategies but there are always the insane ones which only the naturally talent people will now.
Section 2 can be learnt I reckon. You just need a reasonable vocab.
