78 percentile, i bombed section 2 which is actually [WAS] my best one. FML. Wonder what vexx and stonecold got

Fucking bombed badly.  Arguable the worst feeling ever, but I knew it was coming.

73%ile, S1 52,  S2 43 (absolutely destroyed me) S3 69.  Overall score of 55.

Can't even go to UQ anymore. Bye bye med.  FML!!!!  So gutted, especially considering the time I wasted on it.  6 weeks absolutely wasted and on top of that I am now screwed for VCE.

this UMAT is really defying logic....... its all screwed up! and I hate that some people who haven't even made up their mind about med/pharm etc walk in, ace the exam and ruin it for other people.

Unfortunately, no it won't.  There is a recurring theme every time I do shit in something.  It is English.  S2 UMAT is basically English, and I fucked it.  I was praying I would get over 50 so I could at least have a shot at UQ, but that is over.

Got 27 on the GAT for English last year, this year it will be worse.  English I will probably get 20.  Still haven't written an essay yet because I simply cannot do it right, and it takes me forever. My only hope is EngLang.

But yeah, English seriously ruins my life, I hate it so much, and it stresses me out and affects my overall performance in everything.

Oh, and also, fucking MedEntry.  I got like 90+ percentile 3 or 4 times in their S2 prac exams.  Goes to show how poor an indication those questions are of the real UMAT.  I guessed literally everything in S2.  Had no idea of the words, and the passages were massive and too me ambiguous.

One piece of advice I would give is to just practice S3 and S1, it is the only sections you can improve on.

I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT MEDENTRY.
Got like 98th percentile and 95th percentile on my last attempts.....totally misleading.I also got full marks on the first acer test in section 2. From that to 46 score.

Well, good luck for eng lang, just focus on that so it'll be ur top and u can let eng be some random number in the bottom 2 :).
Don't let it get you down, UMAT's already ruined my study day today, we shouldn't let its insidious affects ruin VCE in general.

Agreed.

I really don't recommend MedEntry. Waste of money for nothing. All it does is either i) causes you anxiety when your percentiles are too low, or ii) creates a false sense of confidence when your percentiles are high.

I think practicing on some Mensa questions for section three would probably be best. That is the only section that I think you can actually improve on (by learning some techniques).

Now I now why ACER doesn't recommend prep courses.

If I had gone in and only done the 2 exams that they had supplied, I think I would have done much better.

Haha yeah, this HAS to be a turning point.  And I am kind of glad the results came out today.  I had to move house, so the day was dead anyway.    Time to smash VCE, something which is actually doable if you put in the work.  GL to you too. We'll get into medicine somehow or another. :)
