is it a better idea to do biomed at geelong .. or in melb .
Well melbourne uni is more prestigious and ranked higher but if that means shit all to you, if you live in geelong, go to a uni in geelong and save yourself the hell of a 2 hour up and 2 hour back travel time.

(you live in geelong right or did i read that wrong)

yeah i do
but what im thinking is
would it be beneficial .. or would i have a higher chance of getting into POST grad med at deakin geelong if i did biomed at deakin . or would it be better to study say at monash . then go to deakion.

ACER is also partly to blame for the lack of equality in the test.  Not that this really affected me because I am a UMAT delinquent and was in the later 1.30 group, but I seriously doubt you can call an exam in which students get different questions from others  FAIR.   And likewise the fact that the exam is completed over multiple periods of time using many of the same questions is hardly FAIR...

I wonder what a court would say...

Yeah, im glad to get all that medentry stuff over and done with. I mostly like my subjects too... well except for methods but im getting better...

As for the irregular offer thing, you still need very respectable scores, i mean sure it might give you some wiggle room but if all your scores are absolutely dismal i doubt you have much chance.

I think the interview would serve to weed out a lot of these problems but its still worth a shot anyway right

ACER is also partly to blame for the lack of equality in the test...

I concur with stonecold, the first moment i heard it i thought this whole, different questions & different test business was extremely dodgy.

I don't like the fact that a test like this is outsourced to an external consortium who works for profit as well, i reckon the government should run it.

Acer do a lot of mysterious crap with the numbers too... really hard to verify or dispute (im sick of hearing and reading so many times, the candidates cant obtain this score by adding it up themselves or the methods of calculating this are unrealsed...)

I'm going to cairns next week. I've decided to drive the 349km each way to townsville to pop my little head up at JCU and let them know I exist.

I dont think theyre allowed to descriminate based on which university you did your undergraduate degree at.

So, in theory it wouldnt matter.

The monash biomed program may be slightly better though.
