I'm finding it somewhat amusing that the trailer is all "epic", even though the first of the two films will probably just be like 90% tent.

HARRY POTTER 7!

10% wedding!
10% political intrigue!
10% final battle!
70! TENT!

harry potter films beyond the second are absolutely woeful. that's when the cinematics took over- I mean seriously, what the hell is with people flying around as a dark cloud? that was meant to be voldemort's ability, makes harry having ride a broom bloody useless. plus, they skipped out the world cup in the 4th movie, that was disappointing.

also they skipped out some major plot points from the book- such as finding the locket and throwing it out from the 5th book. *sigh* directors can't get anything right- nor can critics for that matter. they actually criticised the first movie for being similar to the books.

In this post: people complain about changes from the book, rather than the films as being films in themselves.

Pretty sure the first movie will be 95% tent and 5% trying to fix up the loose ends that they've left from previous movies. And the second movie will be 95% last battle and 5% bad makeup for the crapilogue.

Even though it's difficult to do so, I try to view the films independent of the books (i.e. EvangelionZeta's sentiments).

After hearing from people who have seen test screenings of DH part 1, I'm not too worried about the apparent lack of action.

Also, if you're at the IMAX midnight screening, say hello if you know what I look like (unlikely, but there are probably some stalker-ish types out there). I'll have a Ravenclaw scarf on. I went last year and it was quite fun.

Ugh I hate 3D movies or I'd go to that. Do they have a 2D version?

Friend is having a marathon of movies 1-6 the day before :S
