Hmmm thats very interesting.
I really don't know if I qualify. I guess might as well apply when the time comes.

which type of scholarship did you apply for?

you wouldn't have gotten one of their very top ones ($6k a year and no HECS) because you need at the very least 99.90 to get one of them...
VCE 2006
PhB (Hons) (Sc), ANU, 2007-2010
MPhil, ANU, 2011-2012
PhD, Princeton, 2012-2017
Research Associate, University College London, 2017-2020
Assistant Professor, University of Virginia, 2020-

Feel free to ask me about (advanced) mathematics.

I just received the schl offer letter for an Engineering Excellence Award. YAY!!!
on another note, reading their terms and conditions, I made a little mistake in my big post about schlps. i'll edit that post and say it here as well. you can transfer the faculty scholarships as long as you remain in a course "owned" by the faculty, whereas I wrongly said you just have to be in the faculty. The example they give is if you have an Arts scholarship and decide to transfer your course to Arts/Law, your scholarship cant go with you since Arts/Law is "owned" by the Law faculty, not Arts.
2006: Engineering Studies 45 (Premier's Award), Religion and Societies 39
2007: Methods 45, Spesh 46, Chem 50, Physics 41, Literature 39, MUEP Maths 5.5
ENTER: 99.60
Science/Engineering @ Monash; Mat'ls Eng; Chem, Physiology?

Around September - October I think. Right after when you put in preferences the first time (if I remember correctly).
You apply online for most of them:

http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/scholarships/ugrad/future/timelines.html
http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/scholarships/

(I don't know about alternative universities)
Some are still open after results day.

Monash rang me on results day and told me i have received a merit and equity scholarship. They even asked if i wanted a car take me to some celebration in southbank. I ended up not going because i felt i didn't deserve to be with all the 99.95ers. Now i'm regretting it, probably was a once in a life-time opportunity.

I'm the same squance :(

If I accept Monash I'm giving up my chances of a scholarship @ Melbourne (bcoz they rarely accept irregular offers for their courses and I'm certain to get my 1st preference, whether I put Monash or Melbourne 1st)
But if I accept Melbourne and don't get a scholarship, then I'm giving up the 1 Monash have offered me...

Does Monash accept irregular offers..? Would I be able to accept my Melbourne course in 1st round offers, wait and see if I get a Melbourne scholarship and then, if I don't, apply for an irregular offer and get my Monash course and accept the Monash scholarship? If I went 2 Monash on scholarship for a year, then decided it was too far, would it be hard to transfer to Melbourne uni the year after..? *so confused and frustrated*

Dentistry? No way!
Dentistry at UoM? WTF!
ENTER 90+ for dentistry at UoM? WWTTTFFFF!

It's usually 99.xx +! With a high UMAT. There's like 30 places only. I don't think that exists.

That sounds more like the Kwong Lee Dow Scholars program where if you're from an under-represented school with 90+ ENTER, it gets you into a new generation course of your choice.

Just thought people would like to know...

Melbourne Uni's second-round scholarship offers are done on Monday, letters should arrive on Wednesday for the lucky few.
I'm not sure what sort of scholarships they've got left though.
