Barca me thinks.^^

Oh it's all doom and gloom for United, isn't it? Our time is over, time for our era of mediocrity to ensue. Guess again, top of the league and a game in hand!

I doubt barca, they have money woes and 'pool would demand an arm and leg.

Also, where would he fit in at barca, they already have pedro messi and villa as established starters.

I would of thought Man City, but im sure they have their hearts set on Dzeko based on reports.

Glory glory man united!

Yes.. Torres won't be going to Real Madrid..

Torres is somewhat honourable in not having moved already. With the potential of another year of europa league..( a class he far exceeds), i'm interested in next june's transfers.

oh wait i should be studying for midyears at that time :P

Was going to say this also, pretty sure he'll die before he signs for REAL Madrid. The problem with a move for a player of Torres' caliber, is that he doesn't have many places that are up to his standard should he decide to leave.

But you can definitely say, playing with Liverpool in the Europa league is WAY below his caliber. Torres will never win any accolades at Liverpool, he will never get a Ballon d'Or at liverpool. He is outperformed by David Villa in the spanish national side and Liverpool won't be winning the UCL any time soon. He is however, a player who definitely has the talent to win those medals and trophies.

If Man City secure a top 4 spot he could go there given the money they can pay. He could also fashion a move to any of the other big 3 EPL clubs, or perhaps move to the other big foreign UCL clubs.

I put Torres' "fall from grace" as far as the World Cup. He underperformed there and this has led onto his club level. He's been in poor form and has been in and out of the Liverpool team through injuries etc. If not Real Madrid, then Chelsea or Manchester City. They are really the two clubs besides Real Madrid that can compete to get Torres, financially. In any case, Torres would have to leave Liverpool for a substantial amount of money (wages & transfer fee).

True.

Torres is in appalling form at the moment, but as they say form is temporary and class is permanent.

He is brilliant to watch even if you don't support liverpool and i just want to see him being rewarded for his talents.

Mourinho feels he deserves Ballon d'Or

The English Premier League should have more managers like him. He makes headlines, just because it's him - the self-proclaimed "Special One".

Inter confirm Benitez dismissal

Liverpool fans on VN will be happy, I guess.

I'm probably the only Chelsea fan on VN. =D

Arsenal v. Chelsea is on Boxing Day (in the UK). Should be a good match, unless the game is snowed out or something. I really hope Chelsea get up and start regaining some form. They haven't won in about 7 or 8 matches!

How was Benitez even bad for Liverfool? They've been absolutely dire since he's left. The special one will inevitably end up at United and you'll get your wish! Although Ferguson still has ~90 years of service left in him.
