Today was really bad :| So not looking forward to tomorrow.
I've been trying to get my mum to let me take antihistamines of some kind, but she's adamant that "I'm too young to be taking tablets". You have no idea how much that sucks.

WHAT? did i just read that right... your mum does not allow you to take a tablet...and ur in yr 11... i would just ignore and do it... you cant suffer like that. does she have hayfever? because if she doesn't then... ai

Yes, you read right.
Where am I going to get tablets from? T_T I'm wondering if I should just go get them myself, but I wouldn't know from where. And actually I'm in Year 10.. ^_^;

And no, she doesn't ... my dad and my older brother do, and they take tablets.. and my older brother is only a year older than me.

well it depends on the individual. how sensitive they are to the injection.
for me, i hardly had any side effects. except for a small red swell at the site of injection
possibly for some others you might get a more harsher reaction to the allergen. but this is why they start off at a very low dose and build up towards a maintenance dose. and you have to stay at the doctors for 30 minutes after the shot incase you do get a bad reaction. but for me i really had no problem with it.
you'll have to do a skin prick test and blood test first to determine what you are allergic to.
i've heard there's a new sublingual immunotherapy, which i know they have in europe and can be more effective than allergy shots (possibly...) and all you do is spray it under the tongue although im not sure if they have approved it here in australia yet.

zyrtec is quite strong though... so don't take it if you don't have to :P
Yeah :P

@ TRUELIGHT, forgive me :D

LOL, so it does cause drowsiness and I just buy wateva's new on the market.
I dunno, cos I used to take zyrtec and buy the 30-tablet packet, but then it doesn't work for my bro, so now I'm using telfast the strongest strength...umm green packet. The pharmacists I work with always tried to sell fexo 120,180, but it's cheap and apparently doesn't really work? I wouldn't know, cos I've never tried...and claratyne it looks weird lol

I take antihistamines even though I don't really need them I dunno why, maybe cos it seems the normal thing to do now that nearly everyone gets hay fever.
and My sister needs eye drops...I think Zynene or sumthing with a'Zy..' but I've gotta check with the pharmacists

Sprays: Beconase 24hr is recommenced but after 2 months it doesn't work for my bro anymore...You've gotta change your tablets and sprays every 3-4 months cos apparently they don't work after...I'm SO LUCKY I don't get hay fever, but If I boast, I might end up getting it XD

I NEVER GOT HAYFEVER, BUT THE REST OF MY FAMILY DID.
But I started to get this runny nose that wouldn't go away and mom said it was hay fever. Except I'm all right now. *prays*
