Still dumbfounded over Beer's inclusion. I'm still adamant that Hauritz deserves another crack after his return to firm.

England's hopes lie with Swann. With Anderson injured (sort of?) and the other two not that great, a lot of responsibility will fall on Swann's shoulders.

Should be a cracker tomorrow. Can't wait :D

I have really bad eyes when it comes to numbers and I walked into the lounge room and thought the score said 0\77. I thought "not a bad start." Then I saw who was batting and thought "Haddin and Johnson. Unlikely openers...."

Cricket is like golf right, the idea is to get the lowest score?

Hmm well not much to say and one could see why Ponting would have bowled.
I guess we will soon see if the pitch is actually a minefield or just poor batting on our behalf.

Disagree. Hauritz has been given more than enough opportunity and has continually showed he does not have what it takes to play against the best in the world (bar a couple of innings). Bowls absolute pies most of the time with minimal turn and predicable bounce, and much of his return to form has been attributable to his batting.

It was actually funny watching all these depressed MCC guys in expensive suits choke on liquor when Watson went out so early.
