150 runs from boundaries. Yeah, fair enough, it was Bangladesh, but how come no one else has done it before?
What a champ. Back-to-back Allan Border medals as well.

On a side note, the IPL has started again. GO RAJASTHAN!

Me to (for the same reason). Plus Warne is the captain and they also have Watto.

Found a good video of Watson's innings.

As for the IPL, it seems to have a different feel to it this year.
Not sure if it is good or bad yet.

Katich dropped? Smith retained?

What a load of bullsh*t! I'm happy Katich had a go at the selectors in his press conference, really disappointing.

Any thoughts?

Yeah man agreed. The opening partnership for the Aussies have pretty much the been the only bright spot over the past 12-18 months and to break it up seems almost utter lunacy. And whats happened to players being picked on form rather than age these days? It seems selectors have forgotten the most basic rule that you pick a team on their performance regardless of age. Andrew Hilditch and his whole bunch of looneys should be sacked.

Yep, totally agree. The openers have been comparatively brilliant in recent times, dunno what the selectors are on :(

So, does anyone think the new KFC Big Bash League will take-off?

Personally, I think they are trying to IPL-like stuff down here, and I don't see it becoming too successful, there just aren't enough people to watch the games live (unless tickets are really cheap). And with two Vic-based teams... Not sure how it'll go.

Any thoughts?

AND, does anyone think we have a chance to win against SL?

BUMP!

Aus vs SL in tests.

I think we have a good chance here, esp after a fairly convincing ODI series.

Also, as if England stole rank #1 :( My life is over: first australia loses it, then india

Aussies chances in the series will depend on how their batsmen handle the spin threat of Lanka as well as their bowler's patience in getting Sri Lanka's batsmen out.

As for Englands rise to number #1, I take my hats off to them. They've easily been the best team over the past 12-18 months. They have great depth in all departments and their key to their success is that they hunt in packs and work collectively together as a unit.
For India, it was only a matter of time before a good team exposed the weaknesses that have been masked. Their young batsmen have not stepped up to the plate and lack the required temperament and concentration like the seniors to play test cricket. Their bowling stocks look quite thin, Harbhajan is not the bowler he used to be, and there is an over-reliance on Zaheer. Not to mention their fielding is a liability as well.
