and with the UMAT Acer link, section 1 sounds more comprehending. section 2 sounds more like knowing how to take care of people - natural instincts?
A good understanding of scientific method will help you heaps. Know exactly what "conclusion" and "evidence" mean, and it should be quite easy. Section 1 is also (for many, not so much for me personally) the section for which students feel the most pressure, as it's pretty long and you have a LOT of info to absorb to answer the questions. Don't try and skim over the info, but read it properly once. You have to be very disiplined with your time management in this section if you want to do well (I limited myself to 1:30 per q, ended up with 10 mins at the end to check over as some were ridiculously easy). Also, if you're a bio student and a question seems to be a biol question, you can skip the info and just answer it (there was one bio question last paper, gave me an extra minute to check over other stuff

). For section 2, you don't have a lot of time pressure relative to the other sections (I found). Read stuff over then make sure you give yourself a chance to read it again. There is a decent chance that you'll completly misinterpret a situation the first time you read over it, the second read will ensure that you don't lose marks because of this. I'm pretty abhorrent at s3 so I can't offer advice there. I'll try get one of my mates (who tutors with me) to post some advice on s3 later.
Also, if you just can't figure out a section, don't beat yourself up over it. You can still do REALLY well with a crap score in 1 section. My mate got like, 38ish in S2 and still got 97%ile overall.
Finally, don't bother doing s2 specific prep (although if you start now you miiiight be able to change your score a bit) beyond just learning some vocab if you're bad at english. S3 is the only section where you'll improve much by just massing questions. S1, due to it's "pressure-test" nature can be improved by familiarizing yourself with the types of questions asked, or anything else which you feel may help you to stress out less.
IMO, most of your prep time should be dedicated to either sitting down for 3 hours and doing an entire exam to improve stamina or by going over S3 problems.
If you want help on S1 or S2 don't hesitate to PM me.
