Edith and Denis Schultz will renew their wedding vows at a McDonald's store on Toowoomba west of Brisbane on Friday.

It'll be a far cry from their big day just before Christmas in 1966 when they exchanged vows in the grandeur of Toowoomba's towering St Patrick's Cathedral.

But there's a sweetener this time round. A free honeymoon in lieu of the one they never got to take 44 years ago.

I read that earlier, it's pretty funny. I want to investigate further the idea of an apple pie wedding cake.

   I once knew a couple who planned to get married...wait for it... in Las Vegas, by a female, Chinese, Elvis impersonator.

An apple pie wedding cake sounds delicious, beats all of that creamy and ice-cream crap at most weddings!
