Opinion article: shutting down Wikileaks is impossible

They'd pretty much have to shut down the internet to stop wikileaks mirrors from spreading.

If he does get eradicated I would feel so powerless in the world from then onwards. Like, the knowledge that Governments can violate us to such extremes despite this farcical concept of "The Law"

Maybe that's the reason why he's turned himself in? I daresay there are hired guns out there, and the safest way to escape to Sweden is to go through the official extradition.
