Time zones; please help

I'm due to phone someone in Brisbane in a few hours, (at a pre-arranged time.) Checking its time zone, I confidently expected it to be AEST like Melbourne and Sydney, however the first 3 sites I saw said Brisbane was 1 hour behind Melbourne. Can anyone confirm this?

Queensland doesn't observe DST so they're 1 hour behind the rest of the east coast.
