Yea i would definitely recommend some of our tutor signing up to sponsoring children etc, or perhaps donating 10% of each lesson to charity :)?

Good point EZ.

What about putting a donation together to purchase commercial practice exams for a disadvantaged school? That matches up nicely with VN's goal to reduce inequality.

I have a problem with donations at times; it's just a bit disappointing to not know HOW your contribution helped a specific person.

I think going out and doing something would  be just as effective, and alot more fun and fulfilling.

@taiga We can do direct donations of things, like giving a goat through oxfam/next VN meet up is a philanthropic mission.

One thing could be giving the VN made practice exams to disadvantaged schools for free, as well as Ninwa's idea?

also the writing exams is a really good idea.

Do any of the VN tutors also tutor at the Melb Uni Summer School ( i don't think so)

but that is a pretty decent place to help out (some) disadvantaged students.

In addition, the exams which taiga set-up (i.e. this) - once they are completed, could be sent out to disadvantaged schools on behalf of VN/AN?

Yea i guess we can do a lot locally for the disadvantaged schools and their students. I'm not sure whether many would come to VN but free study notes and everything would really help them !
