Pi T-Shirt

Hello,

does anyone know where I can get a t-shirt with a symbol of the mathematical pi on it as well as the digits 3.1415926535898....etc

My friend really wants a pi t-shirt for her birthday and I'm having trouble finding one. I'm not that comfortable with shopping online so if you can direct me to a store, that would be great.

Also, if you know places that sell maths and sciencey t-shirts like schrodingers cats or kittens that would be great as well

Just make one yourself? It'll be far easier than trying to find one. Either make a stencil and spray it on, or just print it onto iron-on paper and iron it on.

You can go to a store that will make custom t-shirts. Can't find one in the Yellow Pages for some reason but they are definitely around.

I have two (don't ask) so I guess you can buy my spare if you want. Thinkgeek is the best place for this stuff because they're so big and have a points scheme buying system. Why is it that you don't want to buy online?

I don't think there's enough of a market for brick and mortar stores to carry them in Australia

Doesn't that place in The Basement (Bourke Street Myer) do custom t-shirts? Never tried doing it there though; I normally just do iron-ons myself.

At Melbourne University you can have pictures printed onto T-shirts. So if you can find a blank T-shirt, just ask and they should be able to put a π on one.

They did in the old basement but it went under renovation (more like DEnovation, BOOYAH).

I'm not sure if they still do it, but I'll be there tomorrow so I'll let let you know if its still there.

Safe to buy online.

I was thinking of this too. My friends made their maths tee shirts the day before the Methods exam this year. Quite embarrassing to see them showing it off as they entered the exam room, but hilarious.

It'd be cool if you printed a cheat sheet on your t-shirt.

Thank you for all your suggestions :) and enlightening me with different ways of making a custom-made t-shirt. You can probably tell I don't own many tshirts or make any. I think I should do a design with pi in it and send it to a place that makes tshirt. Luckily her birthday is 3 months away so I have plenty of time. (sorta)

@lexitu, lol at the maths cheat sheet idea...but your tshirt would most likely get wrinkled, making it difficult to read, and secondly, wouldn't exam supervisors get a bit suspicious if you're consistently straining your neck to stare at your chest?

May as well strip in the exam room and hold the shirt next to the exam paper, claiming it's a hot day. LOL
