Yeah I hope so! Were you very disappointed - because seriously your scores are amazing and deserving of 99.90 easily.

Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43
ATAR: 99.75

Seriously, there are no VCE secrets - there are no gimmicks or tricks to doing well
it (almost) solely comes down to how much work you put in
-however, its also important to have goals and find out what you really want to get from yr 12

but besides, hard work is integral, don't listen to any bullshit about people being "naturally talent etc..."
as a studying benchmark, i would recommend at least 2 hrs every day, starting TODAY
VCE has ruined my life

So what exactly should you be studying for 2 hours each day, I don't yet have my text books so I can't do questions from textbooks. even if I had them would study be simply just doing questions at a good pace?

you should know what textbooks you'll be using - so perhaps borrow from the library or ask ex-yr 12 students
or, u could read ur english/lit/esl books
2 hrs doesn't mean intensive or anything, it just helps u to build a consistent routine

before u do the questions - learn  the theory, (so when u get to class next year, you understand everything the teacher is talking about)

dont go through the entire year though, just look at one term or something

then wouldn't you run out of things to do if you did two hours per day?

I'm not criticising you or anything genuinely interested in how to do better next year.

yeah this is true.
i thought this for all my psych sacs after i knew all my theory perfectly, never did any prac questions.
good idea to anyone: do practice questions/checkpoints before SACs :P

Geez, don't burn yourself out or anything :P I could never study for two hours a day, unless it were something I really enjoy (on some days I've worked on a maths assignment for, err, 18 hours or something. Lolz). But yeah, in yr12 I think I would do on average 20-30 mins a day? Most days barely anything. Oooh but make good use of your free periods at school, they're the best time to get any work done.

I got 99.75 with plenty of hard work and effort. Made time to watch a movie every Friday night though :P

I was disappointed overall with English. As you can see, I got 43 in English. I think I could have pulled up my ENTER further had I done well in English. Do not neglect English because you will regret it. I didn't neglect it, but was not really that good with it to begin with. In addition, I really disliked it. Form a liking for it, or force yourself to like it, because then you'll do the work and you can pull up your ENTER...

Yeah cos 99.75 is so bad  ::)

i really do recommend about 2 hrs a day - that's not much at all, but adds up after a long period of time
