Hello, what is your view? is it unfair for online stores to have a tax exemption? or does david jones need to grow up and accept it?

The retailers are losing money but not because there's a GST exemption. When a product at their store is up to 100% more expensive than the same product from the internet it's not fair for them to claim that GST and associated costs explain the difference.

Oh look. Retailers whining. They obkviously do not understand how a free market works. If someone is selling the same product at a lower price, you can either match the price or prove that your products are better. With the ridiculous shipping costs of online purchases, I don't see how the former is hard to accomplish. Suck it up
