Section 2 help!!

I heard that section 2 is very hard to improve on and doing too many questions won't necessarily improve your chances. Some tell me that vocab is the most important, others say normal day to day communication, increasing EQ. High scorers out there can you tell me what you personally did to prepare for section 2??

I know this won't help you much, but I don't think you can specifically prepare for section2. I didn't and got a high mark (68, no idea what percentile). How much reading are you doing a day, because I think that's what gave me an advantage

Both. What educational resources are you reading? Textbooks don't count but a book you're studying for english does.
Try reading the newspaper, the opinion sections, any fiction novels you see at the library etc.

There might be some other ways to improve in section2, but that's for other people to say because I'm not familiar with them

Honestly, there isn't much you can do. It's hard to know for certain, but my experience is that it's just a flawed test and even ways that should theoretically improve your score don't do much at all. The people that I know who did well at this section all say that they didn't do anything for it as there really isn't much you can do. Focus your studies on section 1 and especially 3 instead. You don't need to do well on all 3 to get a high score; no one does well on all three. I got a 60 something for section 2 yet still hit 98 percentile overall. But really for section 2, just hope that on the day you're thinking the same way as the question writers.

Thank you Shinny! I guess I will focus on section 1 and 3 then. I was just thinking that in the case that section 1 or 3 turns out to be a disaster I still have section 2 to rely on under my sleeve.

Yep, basically textbooks, study guides, websites (forums) and english texts
