I know a lot of people who did 4 subjects and still managed to get high 98 to 99s for their ENTER.  Needless to say, a lot of hard work and tenacity is required.

Please give some figures for "a lot". Also, did these people do subjects such as Methods (which is required for quite a few courses) or a bunch of "easy" subjects?

Just use the ENTER calc and figure it out yourself. Of course it's possible, but it's obvious you'll need to score higher in the four or five that you have. The fifth and sixth only count as 10%, so you could easily transfer the effort required to pass these two subjects to your primary four and score higher in them. While it's better to do 6 IMO, it definitely isn't necessary.

Well yeah I guess it's just more work and effort with 5 subjects really.

From past experience, I've met 8 (with 7 of them getting 98.**).  Reason why I said "a lot" is not because I'm comparing with the state but comparing with the people who are doing 4 subjects since many students do 5-6 subjects (although that's what I've heard).

Although I do admit and apologise, I should have said, "a few" to eliminate any discrepancies.

^lol nothing to apologise for. Wow I didn't think there were many pro people doing only 4 subjects. That's a lot of free periods.
