^ LOL - that's the gist of my FB feed.

Malthouse is gone - a silly decision from Collingwood to frame such a contract in the first place.

It wasnt at the time, it looked as tho he didnt have much more to offer the club and we wanted bucks as head coach, but he needed some guidance and experience first.
Everyone, especially the media think that this will fall into pieces. I cant wait to see bucks new game plan!

What evidence did they have to make a transition to Bucks? The main thing I see going for Bucks is his competitiveness and motivation, but Malthouse (to the extent that an outsider can tell) is an outstanding coach.

Yeah well that's the thing, if we didnt do something about bucks he wouldve gone somewhere else. And he looked to be a good option at the time even tho he had no experience. - I think we just wanted something new to freshen up the players. But somehow over that preseason, malthouse and the group did something amazing...

Hopefully it is a downwards spiral for Collingwood onwards...

Would love to see them falter next year, and the supporters go feral, screaming for Buckley's head and demanding Malthouse return.

On a side note, I'm thinking of getting this framed and hung. :D

If Buckley's playing career is anything to go by.. he'll always be Hird's bitch.
