Computer usage alerts

Hey, exams coming up and all I was wondering if anyone knows of any app out there that tracks your computer time and gives notifications at certain intervals or at certain times e.g.  program that alerts you every hour you have been on the computer and/or alerts you of the time once it hits midnight or something. I know there are some scripts around that bring up a popup message every 15 minutes or so but I'd prefer something where I can set the interval (So I don't get pissed off in lectures when a pop up comes up) or that doesn't use pop up windows. Also I'd prefer something that actively alerts you of time usage, rather than time tracker apps like RescueTime which only creates more distractions.

Anyone know of anything that can do this or is capable of writing a quick script capable of doing this?

Thanks!

Maybe a parental control software suite but configured differently?
