Wow that's high O.o
You aiming med?

Not sure. Maybe acturial studies. Still undecided :(

But remember, I haven't done too much medentry, so those percentiles may not be accurate
Me too pi!

Mainly the experience I had from work experience at The Royal Children's Hospital. One of the best experiences of my life and kinda made me want to pursue med.

I wish it was less competitive though, should be more fun :(

poor effort by you pi

Obviously you don't see what my friends get.

Didn't mean to be cocky or arrogant in that post, and if it came out that way, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention at all. Just a comparative to many people I know personally (not all mhs btw), who say they did a fair bit better. Hence my reaction. I could see how it could be taken that way, but again, that was not my intention at all. :(
did a lot of the people you know get better or just like 3 or 4? cause those are some really high scores..and if people are nearly acing the umat, this is concerning for me :/

^^Some got significantly higher in sections 1 and 3 (ie. only a couple wrong, or even none wrong). But as Jdog said, not sure if its truthful or not. I'm just focusing on my own scores from now on.

To refresh:
I want to take this opportunity to ask whether people notice the 'mistake' identified by Medentry in ACER test 1 Q4 saying D is correct? I think they directly contradicted themselves?

Answer D: Those who attend church once every few years – that is, less than once a year – form 17.4 % of the population. The number of people who attend church more than three times a year includes ‘several times a year’, and all categories that attend more frequently. That is, (9.0 + 2.6 + 3.1 + 4.7 + 9.8 + 2.8 + 0.6) % = 32.6 %, which is significantly more than 17.4 %. This would mean that D is also a correct answer.

The wording of the answer is saying: 17.4% (once every few years) is greater than 32.6% (more than 3 times a year) which is false and shouldn't be the answer as Medentry claims it to be?

Also I really don't understand Q16
Medentry explanation:
Answer: C

In this question, let us once again test each answer:

Answer A: If this statement were true, we would expect people to pick the rental properties at random, which would result in each property getting picked in almost equal proportions. This is not the case.

Answer B: If people chose Q simply because it was closer to work than R, we would expect people to pick P in favour of Q, because it is even closer to work than Q. This was not the case, so this is not the correct option.

Answer C: This statement fits the results given, and correctly explains why the appearance of a new property such as R would change people’s decision-making. This is the correct answer.

Answer D: We have no reason to believe that transport costs from R would be disproportionately higher than from Q. This is not the correct answer.

OK if they pick between Q and R, then why do some pick P?
Isn't the order:
R(even further but more expensive)                   Q(further from work but cheaper)                              P(expensive close to work)
If people chose between Q and R, then why does 30% choose P? Its not between Q and R...

I thought its A because if it confused people, people won't pick it then they would pick only between Q and P

Anyway, perhaps I completely missed the idea of the question...

I meant actuarial :P

Oops. Oh, I like maths :P I'm not freakishly good, but I enjoy it :)

AND I don't see myself as a vet, dentist or 'research scientist' (way too risky on govt funding). I also dislike physics (most engineering). So actuary seems like a feasible option for me  :-\

Ok guys, did pretty shit, but here it goes:

36/44
38/40
31/38

:(

its pretty annoying when people like this , say theyve done shit, when quite obviously, they have bettered the people already posted on here.Of course, the expected next posts will be consoling him, and commenting about how not shit those scores were.

poor effort by you pi

This is an attitude that a lot of smart kids have, and in their effort to be modest they just come across as being insensitive.

Have seen a fair few in my time, and still see it a lot :P Almost a mild form of social retardation; I want to give an example, but they're still my friends and probably can read this (you know who you are :D )

Could someone explain to me how the answer to q27 is C?
Since the data includes information on middle-born children, then families must have at least three children shouldn't they?

Yea its a bit stupid but think they don't really refer to the entire stimulus and just the fact that there is a last born...
