What do I do if I got de-registered out of a subject? I got an email saying I got removed from a subject (my mistake, thought I could do Level 2 subjects) but they sent it right on the 13th so by the time I saw it I couldn't self-enrol anymore.

Also I tried registering into multiple other subjects before enrolling into the Level 2 subject but they were all full / had no availabilities when I tried, if I ask the coordinators would they be able to find classes?

Wait what? That can happen? That's interesting.
Typical UoM, deregistering students right when they can't re-register. Try talk to your student centre about this, although don't expect a useful response (they're not always reasonable people)

Came here to do my standard defense of the Student Centre employees. 95% of the time they try super hard to help you out but also 95% of the time if you have a problem their hands are tied by uni regulations and stuff that are above their level of influence. You basically go to the student centre to find out the best way to fix your issue, rather than have them fix it immediately. It's not ideal or efficient but it's also largely not their fault. Rant over.

Yes its not working today. Like I can log in but cant access the lecture notes...and today I actually felt like studying -_-

For Maths subjects (particularly Calc2) can you ask tutors for help with the problem sheets or should I just attend the consultation hours for that?

If you have it all prepared they should be fine with that. Maybe keep it to a small number of questions though.

Same. Although the work so far isn't all that intense. I think with 3-4 hours of solid study tonight, I should be up to date in all my subjects.

I was terrified at the prospect of starting metabolic pathways in BIOM20001 today, especially with the poor foundation of CHEM10006 and my subsequent general dislike and disinterest for Chemistry (and heaps of rote-learning); even up until now it hasn't been bad but it certainly wasn't my favourite thing to learn either. But I actually found learning glycolysis kind of fun... it seems to tap into my intrinsic desire to put things into place and order. Interesting. XD

There isn't actually much emphasis on understanding the chemistry in those pathways, like they're not going to ask you to draw structures.

Just write all of it down over and over again until it gets etched into your head. Kinda like learning Chinese characters.
