Assuming a H2A actually gives you a GPA of 6.5 (and a H2B gives you a GPA of 6), wouldn't getting 3 H1's and a H2A give you a GPA of 6.875?
I'm currently enrolled in the UoM Dentistry course, but I don't know much about the cutoffs. That being said, I am pretty surprised that a person with 6.95 GPA and 67 (UoM-weighted) GAMSAT did not get a CSP, when a person with 6.77 GPA and 69 GAMSAT did. I guess it comes down to how UoM applies the equal weighting with respect to GPA and GAMSAT scores. My understanding was that we go by ranks - so every applicant is given a GPA rank and a GAMSAT rank, and these are combined to give a final rank. (I'm not 100% sure of this, but the current guide on GEMSAS states "Offers will be made on the basis of a combined ranked list where ranks by GPA, GAMSAT
are given equal weighting.").
You should assume that every poster is lying about their scores (also these are the people you will have the pleasure of going to medical/dental school with <3 )
Hey, we're surely not all that despicable ... are we?
