I really hate how physics pracs are due in the next day. Like come on. One night to write every physics prac report?
Main issue is that I have chem pracs for like the whole day on some days and it's so easy to forget when you're doing five things at once in the chem lab. Sigh. Losing marks for physics lab reports for lateness is going to cost me.

This. This! Glad I'm not the only one thinking about it. I just find it so demanding with all of the detailed procedure, error analysis, and questions that has to be done in short amount of time.

It's not even a given that I'll even remember to hand it in the next day -.-

Is gastro a legitimate reason for special consideration? I caught it this morning, probably from the dodgy food from work.
Apparently I have to get a form filled out by my doctor and submit it for review.

I'll still try and go to my midsem tomorrow morning but if nature calls I'm not going to shit myself in my seat no matter how much I value education.

I'm pretty sure that's a valid reason!

Maybe try emailing or calling your lecturer this morning? I don't think they'd want you to shit yourself in your midsem either, would be a little disruptive to the rest of the students :P

On a side note maybe you can also explain the pathogenesis of EPEC or Salmonella while you're at it. Show off your passions.

When the lecturer is discussing practice test answers and says "Now we didn't discuss this in the lecture but..."

Are you guys actually enjoying going to uni at the moment?

Sure there's a bit of stress (4 mid sems and 3 assignments due over 2 weeks for me LOL) but I've actually been enjoying applying what I've learnt and (trying to) smash out these assignments and tests.

I'm enjoying learning... Is this what it feels like to grow up?

I feel the same way...uni has been pretty good recently and I feel the workload has been less for me than first year. I think it might be because in 2nd year and onwards you have more choice in your subjects whereas in first year you have prerequisites to do which can affect your motivation to learn....if that makes sense haha.  :P

Hey, how long does it normally take for MCB midsem results or answers to be released? Also, what's the average usually around?

Thanks

Maybe 2 weeks? If I remember right there should be like...30 questions yeah? I think the average hovers around the high 10s or low 20s. They usually give out the averages when they have the MST review session.

Goodluck to those sitting the BIOM20001 MST Tomorrow !

Thanks! It wasn't that bad after all. :D

Although that BIOM20001 lecture today really screwed me over (largely because I had the old lecture slides XD). This doesn't help when I was already battling with that phage three-factor cross concept from GENE20001. :/
