exam timetables out tomorrow!

Hope i have a few days break between each of my exams. Were the exams last year for biomed subjects held at the start of the exam period or were they spaced out?

Last year BIOL10002 was about a week into the exam period on a Friday, and then if I recall correctly CHEM10006 was on the Monday and both MAST10016 and MAST10011 were on the Wednesday. So yeah, a pretty good timetable should it stay like that for you (although there is no guarantee that it will - I think it changes around a lot). Except my breadth exam was straight after BIOL10002, so that wasn't fun. :/

Thanks Star (or El). Hope you're fairing well in opto too

I haven't had any MSTs/major assignments, it's really weird! We have a clinical assessment that we have to pass though and quite a few written exams at the end of each semester.
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.

Phew I had such a weird MST experience today. First question for some reason totally stumped me, and for the first time ever I went into panic mode as I tried to do the rest of the test. I was literally shaking trying to type into my calculator. It was so weird, that never happens. The next question stumped me too, and a couple further on, and the last few were easy. I had time to go back thankfully and the first two that had stumped me just came easily, they were easy! That left just one that was outstanding with 5 mins remaining... managed to get what I thought was the answer and with 5 seconds to go I realised I had forgotten to account for a factor of 10 so changed my answer as she was saying "stop".
That will teach me to be so blase about easy subjects! Got it just fine in the end but that was touch and go... also stressful!

All 3 MSTs done this week! So over assessments already...

For some reason I always feel as if my hands are foreign to me when I begin exams - my handwriting is more messy than normal, they feel weak, and it takes them a while to stop shaking.

I can't believe you only just realised how good that lib is hobbitle!

Just thought I would let you guys know that they're running some tours at PDI and the Burnet in the next couple of weeks for Day of Immunol stuff if anyone is interested on checking out either institute for future research purposes, general interest, etc: http://www.dayofimmunology.org.au/discovery_tours
It's kind of targeted at the general public so I feel like any 'practical stuff' mentioned is gonna be super easy but if you just want to see the facilities it could be useful.

Only downside is the AH zone is small so desk seats are hard to come by but it's OK if you arrive early enough and don't leave for longer than a trip to get a coffee. But like... SEVEN SEEDS. And MICROWAVES. And not gross toilets! I swear the stuff I have seen in those ERC toilets....
