It's not overdue yet, but if it were to take long enough, the assignment would become overdue
But you can apply for an extension even when the submission date has passed, when the circumstance prevents you from applying earlier

I'm in science, and this is for a psychology assignment.

If anyone has lecture slides for PHRM20001 and MIIM20002, please PM me? I think I'd make a wiser choice for subject selection if I know what I'm getting myself into beforehand.

Thank-you!

If you apply for an extension and you aren't approved, you'll just be treated as submitting late (with whatever percentage penalty applies). You don't magically get an exemption from submitting on the due date, just because you hand in a request. If you have nothing to hand in then whether you get penalised depends on whatever your reason for applying was.

And you can get an extension in biomed but you'll need to have a reason (usually medical illness or personal distress).

If you want to do a genetics major don't forget you have to do a second year prac subject. I was gonna do GENE20002 but ended up in a prac subject instead because I had no choice if I wanted to major in genetics

Yeah, MIIM20002 is approved for that. Although, if something happens in the next week that makes me hate microbiology/immunology, I'll put in GENE20003 instead.

Calc2????
OMG I KNOW THEM FEELS. I'M GONNA FAIL. HELP A BROTHER OUT.

This assignment is seriously so trippy - there aren't any numbers in question 2 until you get to 2)d LMAO. Oh well, that should make things easier I hope  :-\

Sucks that there are so few UoM Biomed kids here. I'd love to meet some of you but most of my fellow 2014'ers are in Science  :'(

Would definitely recommend Techniques in Molecular Science if you (or anyone else) are looking for a second year prac subject. It's coordinated really well and you come out feeling like you really do understand the techniques and as though you've really learned a heap. Based on discussions with other people about their prac subjects, certainly seems as though it sets you up better to actually do prac work than the others too.

Does anyone else find that watching a lecture at home takes about 3 times longer than watching it in class? Whenever I watch it online, I have to constantly keep pausing the video to give myself time to write down notes and I have to occasionally rewind the video when I don't hear/understand something.

It makes it really difficult when you're 7 lectures behind for a subject...

If that's the pace you need to work at to understand the content, then isn't it far better to spend that time than to rush through it at the real lecture?

you could try downloading the lecture so that you dont have to continue buffering it in your browser, if you're not doing that already.

I'd definitely recommend PHRM, i thought i was an excellent subject and easy to do well in. I heard from friends that the workload for MIIM is on par with MCB but they said they enjoyed it (even though they complained about it everyday lol). I think Shenzor did both so he would be a good person to ask

Can anyone in physics fundamentals send me their lecture slides? I just realised I can't take it in semester two or summer break and I don't wanna do it next year as I just want it for the gamsat. Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

I had a BIOM20001 prac in Peter Doherty today at 9am (emphasis on being there on time was stressed!) so I planned out to get there at 8.30am just in case.

Fate would have it my morning train would be cancelled, the next train would be delayed and would then run direct to flinders so I had to get another train at Richmond to actually get in the city loop. Once at Melbourne Central it was hard enough to get on a tram, and once I finally got one it spontaneously terminated at RMIT (even though it said Melb Uni on it!!) then by the time I got another one and got to uni I ran to the building and got there at 9.10-15ish :/ Luckily my demonstrator was nice about it as I was a bit flustered but yeah, next week I'll plan for 8am and hopefully be there calm and collected :P Fortunately the prac was the easiest bio one I've ever done at uni *phew* but jeez what a morning.  :-[

What subject? If it's QM1 then I feel the same way, however I just end up going to the lectures.
