Lol my mates doing it I'll ask him for you. Living longer was also really good. Low workload and with the final assignment they're really flexible with topics so if you're into biology, you might be able to do a report on how disease or nutrition is affecting population levels or something. Ive also heard that choir is good. and thinking scientifically which im doing next semester (do it!!)

I'm doing Thinking Scientifically too!!!!!!!

Yeah, that'd be really good if you could ask your friend.

Living Longer also sounds interesting.

Thanks for your help

Has anyone taken part in the Melbourne Connect program here? (Where you return to your secondary school to talk about uni etc)

What is that?

What is that?

I got an email too. they basically want people that went to school in the western and notherm suburbs to go back to their school and talk about uni life at Melb Uni. You have to go to 2 seminar thingys where they teach you stuff you need to talk about and then you go to school and talk about it haha.... and you get paid :p
2014: VCE completed
2015-2017: BSc at Melb Uni

hey guys,
question regarding DDS applications... at which part of the application am i going to have to select CSP or FFP? I've finished the general application (haven't submitted or paid just yet), but does that come after I submitted it or did I miss something. Sorry if there's a really obvious answer

Does that mean you're automatically considered for both?

About to submit my application but I still don't know whether I should put

UoM - CSP, BMP, FFP
Deakin - CSP, BMP, FFP

or

UoM - CSP, BMP
Deakin - CSP, BMP, FFP

as my first two preferences. I'd be so shattered if I got UoM FFP when I would have been able to get Deakin CSP.
Is there any way to know if your scores were high enough for UoM FFP, you would have been at least be able to get Deakin FFP?

Probably. I just looked at my application and there was no part where it asked for CSP or FFP. I guess you could always just reject if you ended up getting offered a FFP.

About to submit my application but I still don't know whether I should put

UoM - CSP, BMP, FFP
Deakin - CSP, BMP, FFP

or

UoM - CSP, BMP

You get passed down from uni to uni. Let's say you go with the 2nd option. If you weren't high enough to be granted an offer for a BMP, your interview, GPA and GAMSAT scores get passed down to Deakin, and they might grant you a CSP. So chances are, if you do say you're interested in an FFP at Melbourne (I think the cut-offs for FFPs are fairly low), you're more likely to get that than a CSP at Deakin. I wouldn't risk it the first option.

Am I fucked?

Judging from the tone it doesn't sound very good unfortunately.

If you didn't copy portions of your project from other students/direct from the internet then you should be fine. Would recommend taking up the offer for a support person, if possible don't pick a close friend (unless they can be impartial).

If your friend did indeed copy your code, then you'll probably be fine. But ultimately it'll be his word against yours.

In 1st year they might be less harsh when these sort of things happen.

I wouldn't put FFP for any of my top 3 preferences unless I REALLY wanted to go there.

Btw for those who don't know, the RoS for BMP is gonna be 1 year now. Not sure if I should put BMP in my first preference or hope for a CSP in my 2nd...
