That feel when nothing you're reading is absorbing back into your head but you still have 2/3rds of the course notes to read over the night before the exam. I feel like I left my understanding and knowledge behind in all the MSTs for cell biology. Jesus, take the wheel  :'(

Don't worry all your reading and studying will come back to you. I felt like this for bio but when I got into the exam I could actually answer most of the questions haha
good luck!

I think Travis said something really good a couple of months ago, if you've worked hard throughout the semester, you are just ''cramming what you already know'' during swot vac. So don't worry, you worked hard throughout the semester and you just need to find what you already knew.

Best of luck!!

That's definitely the best way to do it. Especially for higher level subjects (at least in maths and stats), there's no way to learn half a course worth of stuff you never understood properly in the first place in swotvac.

Some people start revision very early. That's probably the best idea to be honest.

Personally, I just do a lot of work to get the content down pat when I first do it, so then I can cram it at the end of semester in SWOT VAC because it's just refreshing my mind about things I already knew well.

You're in your first year, Rod, so the best you can do is just try out and see what works for you :)

I just wanted to check if we can bring our own tissues to use in the exam room if need be. I have tissues in my bag anyway but I don't want to get into trouble for using them. I had another one of those nosebleeds last night where it looked like I'd been murdered in my sleep, and generally when this happens they tend to happen at random for a week or so. I'd rather not wait for an invigilator to bring tissues to me, because by then I may have dripped onto my exam paper and I'm not sure if that'd mean that I'd have to start again (which I absolutely cannot afford for an exam like BIOM20001 exam B). Unless I just circled the blood spots, drew arrows pointing to them and put "PATHOLOGY IN ACTION!" or something like that.

It depends, they might want to look through them but i'll doubt they'll ever really confiscate them.

I've seen them examine peoples tissues and packets of sweets before but in my 5 years i've never seen any of them confiscated or people told to put them away. Generally, the less packing and the less suss you look about it the better. If you act natural about them being there it should be alright, just dont examine the box for five minutes during your exam.

Your mileage may vary though, if challenged, perhaps try to explain it to them.

They should be placed on your desk definitely though, i wouldn't attempt to grab them from under the desk, your bag or your pockets.

has anyone here done supplementary exams?
are they usually the same calibre as the original with the same style questions or do they make it easier/harder/different?
i ask because pending my application for special consideration, ill be doing two of them

It wouldn't make much sense to make them harder or easier than the regular exam.
