I really want to major in neuro now (instead of psych) because apparently I do find science interesting (haha) but my problem is I'd like to do my masters in clinical neuropsychology, and I think that means I do have to major in psych anyway??

Judging by the pre-requisites, you will need to major in psych then do an Honours in psych with an average of a H1 during the honours program. You should have enough room in your subject plan to have subjects from neuroscience. Have a look at the pre-requisite subject for both majors and see if there are any overlapping pre-req subjects since each major offers many subjects

Any of you guys find it annoying when some person in the lecture theatre loudly complains to her friends that her ''WAM of 96'' is extremely disappointing?

Haha I wish I did but I was 100% sure it was 96, and I was with friends and they were bemused by it as well. It's just so frustrating how obnoxious people can be complaining loudly that they are unhappy about a score that others could never get. Makes people like me who are sitting in the low 80s feel bad ... I'm extremely happy with how I'm going but if like if a 96 is bad, then how bad is my WAM? You get what I mean?

I am so tempted to putting this on the uni confessions page it made me so upset. How can you be unhappy with a 96 WAM? And at the same time reveal your disappointment to the rest of your cohort who have all gotten less than 96 and make them feel bad about their scores.

For me I have the same approach I really don't care what score I get in the end, as long as I know I've given everything I have I'm happy with what I get. And also I never making comparisons with other people, I look at my score only so it reduces that feeling where you go ''Oh man he got way higher than me I should have gotten just as high'' - and then theres this really unnecessary stress and urge to compete with others. This approach has really been working for me!

...Then there's the approach where you get 96 and complain and make others around you feel bad (I'm never gonna get over this am I lol).

How are you finding flora and fauna/genetics sjayne? Did you end up doing FF?

How are you finding flora and fauna/genetics sjayne? Did you end up doing FF?

Yeah I did! and it's alright. A part of me regrets dropping chem but the workload is more manageable and it's definitely more enjoyable than biol10005 so far.  I don't hate genetics but.. I feel like some parts could have been taught better, you know?

Yeah I completely agree Dawn didnt really go through it all in much depth. Especially the dominant and recessive epistasis stuff she didnt show us how to do any of that. Left it to the tutorials but unfortunately my tutor isn't that good.

I only go to the prac tutes usually so I must have missed that one, and I just think everything was made more complicated than it needed to be if you get me.

Yeah, I never thought I'd get excited over botany!!! I actually don't mine Kath either. But going over content in tutes would be nice
