For anyone who has done PBL, do the online tests help at all in relation to the exam? Are they similar questions?

I probably should have thought about this earlier, I haven't touched any.

Yeah, the online tests are very similar to the exam questions in difficulty.

does anyone know if the deadline for volunteering as a tutor for VCESS has passed?

The umsu thing keeps saying volunteering for 2017, not 2016.

Well and truly. They did the interviews at the start of semester and have already advised people of their outcome weeks ago.

That being said, I saw one of their posters saying that applications closed in December... :S If you're really keen, try contacting the team and see how you go. :)

I'm going to rant a little bit and say that Linear Algebra is the worst form of maths I have ever done in my entire life and schooling career. Because of this subject I am almost convinced that I never want to do a university maths subjects ever again. The difference in quality between Calc2 and Lin Alg is actually insane.

I have a love-hate relationship with BIOM20002. I think I'll be glad when it's done though. Given how the first test was, the upcoming one has me worried.

Are students allowed to use the studio rooms in the MSD given that nobody else is using it?

So we complain about having too many marks per minute for BIOM20002 mid-semester test 1... so they decide to do the exact same thing for mid-semester test 2. That's logical.

At least we're being warned this time about how much there's actually going to be on the test (inb4 it changes anyway -.-). I guess we'll have to wait and see on Friday how it pans out.

By the way, as an FYI for those third years curious about our test, they've decided to put physiology on it for the first time this year. :/

RIP. If they test digestive physiology you are so fucked if you only rely on the BIOM20001 lecture slides.

It's OK, in the break I watched all of Charles' relevant physiology lectures. ;) Thanks for the heads-up though. :)

Is the LMS down? :/ (EDIT: It's up again)

Lol, watches are now banned in exams:

"All watches included analogue, digital and smartwatches will need to be stored for the duration of your exam. These devices should be stored with other unauthorised materials, such as mobile devices, in a bag under your desk. Smartwatches must be switched off throughout the entire exam."

If you can't see any of the clocks at the REB, then good game.
