Is it Software Modelling and Design? Its not letting me in either, I think there's some issue with the prereqs in the system, it says we need to be in a Masters or something. I emailed 13MELB about it so hopefully they will sort it out.

Actually, yes it is. Software modelling and design, but also models of computation for me as well. I got the same error for software modelling and design. Hopefully it should be fixed up quicker now that there's more than one person having problems with it.

Anatomy and microbiology - the amount of memory work this semester is phenomenal. O_O If there's something that will undo me this semester, this will be it. =_= Thank goodness for subjects like physiology and genetics.

Re: graduation gowns, does anyone have any experience or know what's the deal with getting graduation gowns from outside the uni? Are they generally acceptable? Is it worth the $$ savings?

Outside companies generally make generic gowns to suit all needs, so you will find they may have extra arm holes that need to be pinned up. Also, the uni ones are far, far better quality and there is a visible difference, especially when it comes to the hood. Personally, if you can afford it, I would hire it. If you hire, there are people to put it on for you and make sure it is correct (which, trust me, makes things much easier), plus, I don't really want the gown collecting dust in my wardrobe for years to come.

tl;dr uni ones are much better quality but other ones are usually acceptable

The robes were fairly irrelevant at my graduation and I don't think I could tell the difference between people who'd hired vs bought. People are quite unlikely to really look at your hood :P

For those applying for Med:

Offers won't be out tomorrow, Melbourne has delayed their release. On their website it now says "week of November 2nd", with an indication that these dates are subject to change.

A little disappointed. Obviously, like anyone, I'd like to know as soon as possible, but I do think it makes it difficult for people who are stressing a lot and who will now have to sit their exams without any closure as to med offers.

I just found out the University of HK would have been the PERFECT place for me to exchange to for second semester next year (and thus allowing me to escape the horror of HSF) but it's all too late because applications are due in like 2 days  :'(
