Hey guys if special consideration gets accepted for your exam, what happens then? Do you just get to sit a different exam at a later time? When do you find out if your application was accepted or not? When do you sit the new exam?

There will be a round of supplementary exams around December which you will sit if it is accepted, these will just be at the uni, not at the Exhibition Building. I had a special consideration cos my train was stuck for nearly 2 hours and I missed my exam, I'm pretty sure it got approved after all the regular exams were over but I imagine it would depend on your application.

Yacoubb - I'm glad that Andrew Drinnan, four years on, still manages to work weed into all of his lectures.

Yep! I was in a GAMSAT preparation lecture on time, and the presenter had completed a BSc at UoM. He was mentioning things about his degree, and my friend and I burst out laughing when the presenter said: 'so there will be many times where you'll think, why is this guy showing me slides about weed all the time'. It's an appeal to youth, and a real hit and miss.

Anyone buy an ebook off cengage before? How do I zoom into the book or is there an app that allows me to do so?

I'm not quite sure whether this is where I should ask this, but :/
Could anybody be able to shine the light on the pre-req's required for physiotherapy? For example, I've been hearing around you require a maths unit? Although doing a first year physics/psychology unit also counts? Could anyone be able to confirm this? I haven't been able to find this information anywhere including the handbook.

Thankss

This is the first time I'm hearing about maths as a Physiotherapy prerequisite. You'll most likely be safe with 2nd year anatomy and physiology units (http://physioth.unimelb.edu.au/entry_to_practice/admission_requirements) :)

I bought the 2014 Red series and Green series (3 books in total) second hand for $550. I probably could have gone cheaper by buying earlier/older editions but it was still in good condition and it's the latest edition we'll ever get so I went with it

Hey guys,

I'm sure that this has been asked a million times before, but what are the best resources for GAMSAT prep (especially for physics, as I'll need to learn that from scratch)?
Also, congrats to everyone that got into med!! :D

Wanted to wish everyone with exams all the best again and wanted to congratulate those with Melbourne Offers :)

I was fortunate enough to be able to get a spot as well this year. I am still in a state of shock as I was convinced I wouldn't be even getting a place anywhere let alone Melbourne.

Commiserations for those who missed out, just try knuckle down for exams and try bounce back next year. After convincing myself I didn't get in these past few weeks, it has been horrible just the mental, physical and emotional pressure I put on myself. Please just try take care of yourself through this turbulent time.

This is reassuring for someone who got North/West clinical zone. Wonderful haha!

Looks like I'm back at Melbourne Uni again :P

Well-earned guys, congratulations!

I've purchased this book called GAMSAT: Gold Standard; it is a textbook that outlines all three sections of the GAMSAT, and goes through the topics required to be known for the GAMSAT. For the Physics section, it's just a year 12 understanding of the course, so it is perfectly okay for you to (if you can get your hands on it) get a year 12 textbook for Physics & go through the topics. I personally think that the GAMSAT: Gold Standard + YouTube videos should suffice, of course in addition to completing practice questions. :)

I was kinda interested in doing School Experience as Breadth next semester but I just looked at the 2016 handbook and apparently they're changing the assessment for next year so 80% of your grade is made up of group assignments.

lol gg I'm outtie
