I'm wondering whether it would be OK to have a tutorial directly after a lecture? Also would it be ok to leave a lecture early so as to make the tutorial?

Yeah - lots of people like to take tutes right after lectures i think. As Lauren said, most things finish 5 mins early. But if you do want to leave early it's probably best to sit at the back

Well, I got some of my preferences but one of the subjects has no tutorials available for registration which is strange, and I've noticed people having the same issue with other classes.

Haha my internet is not even that fast!

I can't believe I've spent four hours of my life trying to get my friend timetabled. If it was just myself I could've been on my merry way. Oh well, I guess that's what friends are for. ^_^

There seems to be a problem with some 2nd year subjects registration, classes unavailable and the like of that.

Okay. I still can't log in. I can't get through online or on the phone and I've already sent an email to stop 1.

I live too far from uni to go in now (+ what happens if it starts working and im travelling)

Going to be there before 9am tomorrow morning and not leaving 'til it's sorted or they kick me out  ;)

I'm in exactly the same boat, but I doubt there's anything they can do there. Just have to wait it out, and then spam email all my subject coordinators or the student centre when my classes inevitably fill up -.-
If it's not fixed by later this afternoon/evening, then it probably is worth going in to see them though.

For those who are equally miserable and seeking schadenfreude, the Unimelb twitter feed is currently deflecting some pretty harsh feedback :P They keep linking to this site telling people to limit their attempts to a single page (i.e. not have half a dozen browser tabs or continually refresh them) but I've had this one log in portal stuck for an hour and a half prior to 12:30, and now another hour from 1-2 with it chucking up errors every fifteen minutes *sigh*

Odd that the two repeats for NEUR30003 weren't streamed. I was able to make the exact combination that I wanted! :D

Speaking of NEUR30003...the handbook page says it's potentially available as breadth for multiple courses, but then lists prerequisites which can't be met with some of those courses (2 semesters Biology at 1st year, or 1st year of the Bachelor of Biomedicine.) I was able to enrol and register for classes despite not having met those requirements; does anyone know if there would be any consequences for that?

Beyond frustrated right now... It's finally letting me log in, takes me to the timetable page but because I'm doing a summer subject, it automatically pops up with my summer timetable. When I try switch to Semester 1, it claims to be loading for ages, then freezes and tells me to log in again...asdfghjklmfksjnflejrkngdfdxkj

Hi, I'm a first year commerce student this year and I was wondering whether we should be organizing our timetables for first semester only or for both semesters on class registration day tomorrow?
