Anyone who's done the MBB1 assignment before, do we have to provide a title page? If so, how should that be formatted? Have searched both the course guide and the unimelb website in general, to no avail :-\ Sorry for the jaffy question, I'm a science student and this is the first assignment I've had to submit

Depends on the subject and by how much.

Some subjects just won't read the portion over the word limit, some will start deducting 10% etc.

If you're only say 10% over you will normally be okay (in most cases), it's when you start writing 2000 words when asked for 1000 that you might run into trouble. This could mean you are being verbose, too detailed or have misunderstood the question.

For subject specific answer you will need to speak with your tutor.

yup^  don't think they really cared for assignment 1 from what i remember but in psych it's usually;

Title
enter
name-student number-subject code-Assignment 1-University of Melbourne-word count   (each on  it's own line)
2015   BSc: psych at unimelb

Just make sure all those things that sjayne mentioned are in the top half of the page. And another thing to consider (I haven't done MBB1, so I don't really know what they expect from you), but you might need to include a running head and page number in some cases, they want it to start from the title page rather than the next page which would be your abstract or introduction.

Go to the View tab.
There's a button for Paper Size.
Choosing auto will allow the paper to expand as you put in more content.

Well, that's what it is for Windows. I'd assume it'd be the same for Mac.

Two 8:30am exams why does UoM hate me T_T

Also, what exactly do you do in the MCB prac for the MIIM module? Was it like first year bio where you look at certain microorganisms under the microscope with a 'case scenario' and try to work out what it was? I hope not because I did really bad in that
