Would anyone possibly have any hints/tips about the MATLAB test for AM1 (I feel like I'm going to get about 20% on it, :P ). Is what they're correcting all online, or are you actually given a physical sheet to answer questions on? Do you have to create a program/m file, or are you just using the tools? How much of each tute do you usually have to have understood/remembered?

Any help if advice would be appricated, thanks so much guys.

It's not too hard actually. You are given a sheet with the questions on it and you have to get the answers using MATLAB and write the answers on the sheet. It helps to ask students from an earlier tute what the questions were like and then make up your own questions on those topics to practice beforehand. FYI a lot of students full marked it in my class (I almost did too), but that was because I had a Friday tute and people from other tutes earlier in the week were talking about theirs so much that I had got an idea for what the questions were like.

Was just wondering for those who have done MKTG10001.. our exam consists of i think writing 2 or 3 essays ( cant remember exactly) and i was wondering how are people planning to study for this subject? I would've planned to study like how i did VCE english of just doing practise essays but we literally only have access to 1 past exam so kinda wanna savour that for closer to the exam. Soo what did u guys do?

Just learn all the theory so you can answer the questions in the exam. You don't need to write practice essays. On facts that would probably make you less flexible to answer the curveball questions. Just learn the theory as best you can so you can answer the questions in sufficient depth. Also drawing diagrams and shit like that is something marketing assessors love so don't be afraid to do that too

I mean use proper english but there is no set structure to follow. you will see a question and just answer it. you shouldnt be worrying about structure at all really. i cant remember how much i wrote for each question, sorry ! but each exam is different, sometimes you get a bunch of short answer questions and sometimes its just 2 long essays. i really wouldnt stress about that at all, just focus on learning the content

Does anyone know how long the standard wait is from receiving an "eligible" status on a special consideration application to receiving an outcome from the faculty?

it depends, usually 1 - 3 days. I don't remember it ever being longer than that once that comes up.

Does anyone have any experience with over enrolling (like doing over 300 credit points)?

Due to poor planning I need econometrics as a breadth for finance honours but don't have any subjects left lol

go stop 1 asap but you will most likely have to pay full fees for the subject as part of the CAP program

wow sounds awesome I'll definitely have to suss that out, but I saw it's a quota subject? did you need a certain WAM to get in?

They do have a quota and I don't know what the cut off WAM was (some subjects are very small <23 people) but definitely put it down on your study planner because they are definitely worth it!

I think it can be put on HECs, and no it doesn't affect the WAM of your course.

I know that receiving the outcome for a Masters in Coursework application takes between 4 - 6 weeks buuuut I submitted my application 3 weeks ago and my progress is still "application review in progress" ughhh how long is it going to take to change? What are everyone's experiences? I know I should be patient but it's very nervewracking... I live in NSW so I'd be moving to VIC to study.
