They just take your spots without competition :P

There is always stuff to do. Just because you haven't been told what to do or given a list of things that are good to look at, doesn't stop you from working ahead, doing some reading on a topic you want to understand better etc.

Doing what you have to do and working independently separates out the best students.

Easter is in a few weeks I'm sure you can hold out.  That's a week long break and then nobody really knows how long their winter break will be until the exam timetable comes out tbqh but judging by the fact that you're first years somewhere around six weeks?

Is there anyone else here that is doing Calc 2 and Lin Algebra this semester, how are you finding it/coping? Personally, I'm discovering that it's really hard to go through every aspect of both textbooks so I'm slowly resorting to learning from the lecture notes and only turning to the textbooks for clarification of certain ideas. I think that is the best way.

That's how I did it minus the textbook. Minus the lectures (i actually went to the lectures but was playing on my phone most the time cos it was pretty boring). Actually pretty much learning everything during tutes... haha I pretty much did that for all my subjects in first year :/ protip listen and learn in lectures! #captainobviousisobvious

But you don't even go to lectures when they're actually on, apparently.

Travelling to uni on Labour Day will suck. Part of my train line is undergoing maintenance so I'll have to go by foot, train, replacement bus and tram in the one trip to uni. And all I have is a stupid "library prac" where we learn about how to use the uni's library and online resources  >:(
The Finnish word pilkunnussija, which translates literally to “comma fucker,” is someone who risks his social wellbeing to annoyingly and persistently point out punctuation errors.

Completed VCE in 2010 - Now doing BSc at UoM
