You make it seem so alarming.

You wont have to graduate later if you're in commerce, because a lot of subjects are available over a summer semester, so if you fail you can catch up and resume regular progression by doing another subject over a summer. nearly all of the first year commerce subjects are available across both semesters so whatever you may fail this semester should be available next semester as well.

My mistake then. But I have heard about someone failing Chemistry 1 or 2, and needing to graduate a year later. Maybe they failed the subject again in summer school. But yeah, try not to fail as much as you can.

I think that only Chem 2 is offered in Summer?  s: So maybe Chem 1!  I think Chem 1 is offered both Semester 1 and Semester 2 because it allows people to do Fundamentals in Sem 1, Chem 1 in Sem 2 and then Chem 2 over summer and catch up to their VCE chem peers...someone correct me if wrong.

Oh wow I thought it was just 3rd year anatomy where you did those pracs!!

Has anyone done BIOL10001 Biology of Australian Flora & Fauna? Thinking of doing this instead of Linear algebra

kensan in 2nd year Anatomy you can look at prosections and touch them (with gloves haha) but you can't actually dissect anything yourself.  In third year anatomy you can begin proper dissections!  That's basically the difference :)

The girls seem to have a stronger stomach! In our prac group today, all the girls were enthusiastically playing with the testicles and the penis whilst all the guys had their hands in their pockets lol

I don't think it's about having a stronger stomach lol....

Idk...I think it's more likely he just had some kind of fainting attack rather than a fit?
In which case I sympathise, I hit a nerve on a wooden object really hard a couple of days ago and the same thing happened to me!  Albeit in the less embarrassing environment of my own bedroom...

I didn't go to the anatomy lecture but did some guy get sick watching the no scalpel vasectomy video??

Was watching it via lectopia..

Yeah, definitely wasn't expecting that. The lecturer said he has to reconsider showing the video to future classes.

Maybe they should provide like, an optional link in the ILT! I remember when I was enrolled in RBP last year I had to tell someone (I have no idea who because I was only enrolled for a week before I switched out) that I wouldn't be able to participate in blood pressure testing stuff for fear of SAFETY because when people take my blood pressure I tend to faint and subsequently injure myself.  I seriously do not know what is wrong with me at times.

But see the whole point of having a video like this presented in the lecture means you can see people start fainting around the room lol. It's like one by one they just drop dead

And then, after the lecture's over, the anatomy lecturers bag the fainted students and use them as cost-efficient cadavers for future ANAT/PHYS labs?
(Watch out, after funding cuts this may well happen!)

Hah, someone faints or has to leave the room every year, I don't think it'll really stop them showing it.

The pelvic anatomy lab is always awkward for the people that don't want to get involved or are shy, just the nature of it. I was used to demonstrate the cremasteric reflex, because Chris Briggs <3
