For the exam, if I were to bring in my ipad & exercise book (i.e. not leave it in my bag in the shipping container outside) would that be okay? I mean, I wouldn't have it under my seat (I'd put them both in a case and give it to the supervisor to leave on those tables at the back of the exam hall) but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem, right?? :-\ I'm just worried what with all these policies being taken so seriously eek!

Why risk it? Just leave them at home. Besides, if I were you I wouldn't want to stress myself out right before the exam by overloading on information.

I think you can bring in your valuables. You just leave them on the floor.

Idk if you can bring in iPads that seems slightly risky to me...I mean they let you bring in phones because phones are pretty standard requirements for people that might need to be picked up from their exam afterward or something but iPads are something you can definitely leave at home and they're halfway between a computer and a laptop.
I have one and it's got all my slides on it too but I don't think I'll risk bringing it (except for my exam in Bouverie st).

I know you can bring in laptops and iPads.  But when you bring it in, you MUST put up your hand at the start of reading time and surrender it to an invigilator who will take down your seat number and look after it at the back of the room.  At the end of the exam, just go and reclaim it.

Question about exams: do uni exams tend to be similar from year to year (akin to VCE exams)? Will the main content/type of questions be the same?

My guess is that the big mark questions will stay consistent (most important aspects of the course = most marks = must be examined), while less important questions may vary and is very much a lottery draw.

The subject I'm doing is ACCT10001 (Accounting reports and analysis) btw.

Yea pretty much. You will have the usual suspects there i.e. the imperative concepts then the rest is whatever the lecturer feels like throwing in.

I'm not too sure, but for Commerce and Maths units I think going over tutorial questions is a pretty good way to revise. Then do exam questions if they are provided. The structure of the exam is usually the same, they'll probably tell you the weighting proportion of style of questions i.e. 60% calc 40% theory.
