GUYS !! ;(
I just did my first exam (Chem10003) and I totally forgot about that rule about writing in pen for section B (in the script booklet.). Now Im hearing the Angus Weale lecturer said they dont mark scripts that they receive in pencil because of some bs about the possibility of bribery or whatnot. Am I screwed? :(

Im hoping they take into account that im a newby first year! In a bit of panicc
Yeah I did this too, hoping they won't care lol  :-X I don't remember reading that we had to use pen on the front cover actually.
I also didn't circle the MC answer on the actual question book, I'm hoping that that doesn't matter as well :/

If you're given one of the MCQ mark sheets, then any marks you did/didn't make on your question booklet aren't important

Yeah that's what I did, just circled them on the MC answer sheets :P

If there is a problem with that, or not using pen in section B, will they notify you or do you just get a big shock when you get your results? :P

I like how instead of marks the questions are worth, there a time (2,3,4,5 minutes)
are they suppose to correspond to marks?

Yes so the time in total is 180minutes and 1 mark a minute, so a 5 minute qn would be 5 marks :0

Lol, 3 of the mcs would've been worth more than an entire section b question =/

Lol, I wonder how many people tried to cheat on the exam because after the Chem1 exam I overheard a couple of guys talking about some people they know who tried to hide notes under the lid that covers the batteries of their graphics calculator.

...Fail.

Wow they must be really desperate...

Desperate and stupid would be a good way to describe them I reckon.

Cheating is taken extremely seriously.  The university has the right to terminate your enrolment and reportedly, even has the right to blacklist you so that you cannot enrol into any Australian university for a period of time.  I must stress that the last statement of the last sentence is "reportedly" based on what I have heard and I cannot provide concrete evidence for that second part.

Ok wow this is horrifying. I didn't even go the bathroom during my exam because I was scared I might have left a cue card or a page of notes or something in my pockets by accident!

Idk if it's just me but I just have no tolerance for cheaters. Be it my friends or whatever circumstances, it's an awful thing to do.
