Hey, does any one know any European/South American/North American that offer free/ultra-cheap Master of Engineering degrees taught in English?

I know there's a few in Europe but they're ultra-competitive ones :(

Generic "Just Google it!" comment.
(And you know you could always apply yourself and do well if you wanted to try for those European ones?)

I wish there were more holidays so I could magically book myself a wisdom tooth surgery before uni goes back and after full time urop is done like in that interim period that is currently a single weekend and stop this horrible terrible pain.

But, no, SEPTEMBER IT IS MOUTH.

Not so simple to google this stuff, need to consider visas and what not, was wondering if any one had mates do something like this.

The amount of people I know who've actually done this... there are wisdom teeth coming out left right and centre.

I delayed heart surgery from March, and as punishment ended up getting it the day before my birthday on these holidays! Beware the health gods, they're bastards...

Hope you get a reprieve from the pain in the meantime though :)

So, I was recommended to have my wisdom teeth taken out 'immediately' a year ago now.  But then I went o/s for six months, then I came back and waited for the consult, then I couldn't book till winter but then I couldn't do winter so now it's a year later than immediately and if I go back to my orthodontist her face will be like 0:< because I have a missing tooth hole that was made via braces over a period of 4 years and my wisdom tooth just really wants to crowd that hole so it's like a recipe for disaster and all very expensive and gross really.  It's not ideal.

Everyone is like 'go to the dentist' but I came down with the death virus II and I still have it now so I don't know if this pain is partially due to the exacerbation of the most awful sinus infection on the right side of my head I have ever experienced or if it is solely just literally my tooth trying to move because to me it could be either thing.  In any case there's no way I can take more time off since I spent like two days this week, my first week, writhing in bed.

Thank you for the well wishes though :)  Heart surgery sounds much more serious and scary.

Given that Channel Nine has recently started "the Great Australian Bakeoff", I reckon this could be their new drama series... That's such a bloody saga! Why do these things have to be so complicated? Just go in and take them out and all fine and dandy, but nope, has to be complicated!

Undeniably it does, but it really wasn't to be honest! I think you're probably in a shitter situation than that unfortunately!

Why would you expect that study in a country for which you are not a citizen would be free/ultra-cheap? Why not just stay in Australia if you want an engineering degree in English (also, remember that engineering is a professional degree, and you will want to be accredited by the appropriate bodies in order to work as an engineer in Australia).

;n; not looking forward to the next few months at all. i was hoping to move out of my apartment and into a new one during the break, but never managed to find one that was affordable/well located/not owned by creepy old men who wanted to roomshare. Q_Q and the last thing i want to go through during the semester is house searching + moving cause that happened in sem1 and it was awful and stressful and made the science student centre think i was going to fail everything.
but that means i have to deal with my terrible roommates until the end of the year and everything sucks and im just going to like, permanently live/sleep in the spot or the maths and stats building and shower in frank tate and never go home except to collect things or something (but not really).
/cries for the rest of the semester

Are you sure that you need to be accredited? I tried looking this up and Engineers Australia seems like a bit of a joke organisation. As far as I understand if someone wants to pay me to do work as an engineer they can?

I have an uncle who studied engineering in an African country and has been working as an engineer (for big companies) here his whole life and has never once been asked to present his degree. He told me in theory he could have never actually gone to university and no-one would know (other than his obvious lack of skill). So I'm a little sceptical to believe in this whole 'registration' thing, as he himself said he'd never heard of such a concept.

A lot of countries have tertiary education as free for all. Italy, Switzerland, most of South America and a few countries in Africa. I just love travelling and would love to do my degree in another country for the cultural experience.
