kensan, separate them within the same table :)
also, the assignment part B turns out to actually be a test only semi-related to the assignment answers themselves, fun fun fun
the third question was 100% unrelated (some random question about wheat stems)
wat u doin Dawn, assignment=/=test

Anyone who's done HSF how are the physiology prac reports meant to be? Says answer the questions 1-11 and no intro/conclusion needed. Do we still need a results/discussion/method section?

What's the topic about?

It's been a couple years since I did MBB2 but feel free to PM me for help.

Thanks marr i'll definitely be turning to you for help later this week... i better start the assignment soon so i have adequate time before the due date..

As for the bio assignment, where it asks in part b) to 'show an outline of the crosses', i wonder if there's something specific that they're asking for? all i did was

<genotype1> x <genotype2>  etc with a key at the bottom where i state b = black body and all the rest

Probably include the phenotype as well just to be on the safe side.

Hey guys, until today I didn't know that 'SGPA' was like a thing...does anyone know the specifics of how they calculate it?  Because it was mentioned in an Honours info session I went to and he was like 'subtract 2 lowest subjects from first/second year' but I don't know if that means like, overall, or lowest from first year then lowest from second year.  Because my two lowest subjects are both from first year...don't want people taking shit out of my second year so scores like 86 count.  Anyone know anything about this!?

Edit: okay I just found the policy and answered my own question.  Two subjects from either first or second year not one from each, in case anyone was WONDERING.

I did this for part b
First Cross:     Wildtype; wildtype X apterous wings; eyeless      aw+aw+; el+el+ X aw aw;el el
Second Cross: Wildtype; wildtype X Wildtype; wildtype             aw+ aw; el+ el   X aw+ aw; el+ el
We are meant to mention both crosses right? I'm not even sure that I'm doing it right LOL

edit: read the FAQ and realised we're not meant to put the genotypes, still not entirely clear what we are meant to do though.

This mid-semester break is so poorly placed in the timetable.
I'm exhausted and want my break now!

It's not even a mid-semester break. It's a 3/4 semester break.

This semester has gone soooooo fast...can't believe it's week 7 already!

I asked a lecturer why it is only 1 week and she said it's because they want graduation in December rather than 2014 and they don't want to make international students need to fly back for the ceremony and I'm just like 'yeah but if you polled the int. students they would rather pay for a flight back than have one week's midsem break instead of two...'

In other news I don't want the midsemester break because I'm getting my wisdom teeth out and I'm so disorganised.  Things I need to do: pay, get xrays, pay more.  LOL THE MIDSEM BREAK IS AGES AWAY RIGHT?

ALSO: LeviLamp wherever you are, did I see you on campus today or was it just someone who looked eerily like you?

Ridiculous windswept mousy hair, vacant expression, horrible old black shirt, threadbare Co-op bag. Yes to all of the above and that was me.

Looks like it's going to follow the same trend for the next few years too according to the calendar

Fun times. No doing homework for the first couple days after simpak! The meds will make you so very sleepy. But at least you get to watch a bunch of tv whilst you recover. Midsem break in 2 or so weeks I think.

Omg a rare sighting.  DID YOU SEE ME you obviously didn't, I have mastered the 'use phone whilst walking solo' art.

El2012 I am going to some 'final Breaking Bad episode' party in my friend's car like literally in her car.  I don't watch Breaking Bad so I don't understand but I was like what else can I do on prescription painkillers.  I think mine will be even shitter because I can't take NORMAL PERSON ones.

Nooo I tried to watch it and I watched one episode and I didn't like it very much.  I think my tv taste is like maturing though?  So I might be able to try again.  I say this because I watch fewer trashy shows ALTHOUGH I did watch the season finale of Mistresses tonight and IT WAS SO GOOD everyone go watch US Mistresses right now just so you can watch the drama that is that episode.
Things everyone likes that I can't get into: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad
