I hate Trevor so much right now; since he deleted Michelle's recordings for quantum I have no idea how much depth I need to go into and there were some really crucial explanations that only came up vocally and the textbook takes it too far and just why is he an ass (though I'm personally still fine it'd make life a lot easier if this wasn't the case) :'(
He even vanished from the discussion board permanently when someone instigated a friendly investigation into the reasons behind his refusal to record, and stopped responding to emails.

I'd take a look at the past exams for quantum.
Out of all of the different topics in the exam, I found the quantum questions to be repeated quite a bit (i'm not entirely sure if it will be the case if Michelle has been taking those lectures though)

If you know how to do the past exam questions and the tute questions you should be fine
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

For subjects with no marks allocated for tutorial attendance/participation, is there still a minimum number of tutorials we have to attend to pass the subject? ie. For one of my subjects (its a maths subject), I've probably attended 7/10 of  the tutorials, but as long as I get >50 for all my assessments/exams I should still pass  the subject right?

Different schools have different requirements. Culture and Communications for example have a minimum requirement of 75% tutorial attendance to pass a subject, though I imagine that in circumstances of you doing very well they might pass you even if you hadn't fulfilled this. It's not guaranteed though.

Check the handbook for whichever subject it is, should specify the attendance requirements.

Cheers. So if no attendance requirements are stated in the handbook, there's no attendance hurdle for the subject right? I'm referring to Accelerated Maths 2 by the way https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2013/MAST10009

Check the subject information tab on LMS, or the assessment tab to be certain, but it does look like there's no hurdle requirement for assessment. Usually they'll have the information. I know that first year chemistry doesn't have attendance requirements for tutorials (it does for pracs) so there's a good chance this one doesn't either, especially given it's not specified in the handbook.

Yeah it's recorded; for us the lectures and the 'tutorials' were both in the Copeland theatre.
But it's not really a tutorial, it's moreso they have 7 slots for lectures a week, and they'll often use 6, but the 7th is there as a buffer. You'll probably have one every ~3 weeks (it'll be scheduled). So they use the 7th to fill in material they haven't had time to finish (common) and in general go through revision and questions.

Wait, did you mean MCB?

No mention of it anywhere so I think I'm safe.  :P if there was, it would be stated pretty clearly right?

Landed an ongoing teaching position for next year before I have even finished my degree! Been in complete shock since finding out a few days ago.

Hard work will eventually pay off. :-) Keep at it everyone.
