Nah, Dawn upmarked basically everyone who asked by at least a small amount where they gave good arguments for more marks; turns out my assignment in particular was marked by a PhD student who didn't follow the marking criteria.

Speaking of actually, does anybody know if you can take Intensive Latin as a level 2 or 3 subject rather than level 1? I know it has a level 2 and a level 3 code, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's regarded a level 2/3 subject does it? Really keen on underloading guys, so help plz

t-rav, I don't think Science and biomed students can do latin as a level  2 or 3 subject. It's only available to us as level 1. I tried enrolling for summer 2013 but because I've already completed 25 points in level 1 breadth last year I couldn't enrol in the subject. I don't know if it's different for biomed students but that was what I was told by the science student centre.

If you are unsure, just click on the handbook entries for level 2 and 3 and check if your degree is listed in the section 'Breadth options'.

You're brilliant, thank you <3

Unfortunately, it's not going to be a second year of underloading for me. Isn't breadth!

well i had my student card and pencil case under my table leg because it was wobbling so he gave me a piece of cardboard instead. and then because i got up and slipped it under the leg further from me he was all like "why did you put it under that leg not the closer one since both would stop the table wobbling? and that way you wouldn't have to reach as far, it'd be quicker!" and i was like "clearly im not cut out to be an engineer". and he goes "now, do you know why engineers are lazy?" and i didnt reply (because i was trying to do my exam). and after a moment he goes "because the laziest people always find a way to make jobs easier." and just started chuckling away to himself. and i'm just sitting there like T____T whyyyyyy. and then he kept making comments as he was checking that i had signed everything and numbered all my pages. and then congratulated me because i actually had, and mentioned about how i was the first out of however many he checked. and im just like Q___Q ...exam....

Hahaha! Crazy invigilators...

Just realised that I didn't number my pages in the exam since you just said that... we didn't have to, did we??? Depending on the faculty probably?

I was so annoyed at myself, I was so confident with programming, and I totally fucked up that 'remove duplicates' question, and then knew how to do it as soon as I left REB. I just blanked. Argh. I get upset thinking about it even this morning.

Bloody BCMB20002 being a prerequisite for like every third year subject.  I can't take BCMB20002 until Semester 1 of my third year and it's seriously boning me for Level 3 subjects outside of my major.  Stupid Chemistry stupid oversight.

Hey hobbitle you should ask for a waiver to take it as a corequisite. Maybe wait for your sem2 results which will no doubt be awesome in case they want some info on your ability to keep up with material. I've had waivers and so have my friends...one of my friends is doing a miim major with a waiver for second year micro. They are surprisingly easy to achieve! Just email the coordinator of the subject you want bcmb20002 to be taken concurrently with and explain your situation :) they will understand!

After exams, I have a date lined up with the most interesting third year engineering student I've ever met before. My God the University of Melbourne produces fine hunks of manbeef.

Does a level 3 breadth have to be taken if i'm in third year (never taken level 3 before) or can i just take one level 1 and one level 2 breadths instead?

You have to take at least one breadth subject at level three over the course of your degree.
