What do you mean by "false start"?

In the sense that you went to Arts but then really wanted to go into Commerce.

~75 WAM would suffice. I know of someone who got 90 ATAR and transferred into UoM Com with 75 WAM.

Hmm I see. Would the transferring process be more of a lottery? The limited info on the unimelb website seems to suggest this process isn't very transparent. Do you know if they only look at ATAR/WAM? Or do they look at other things and request an interview?

I don't remember there being any sort of interview to transfer into any of the undergrad courses.
Not too sure if they would take special consideration but I assume that most of it is ATAR/WAM.

Ah I see. So if your transfer gets rejected, are you stuck in B.Arts forever?

You can apply for mid semester transfer or end of year transfer.
Melbourne Comm usually requires 75WAM but if you're willing to go Monash Comm that is ~70 WAM.
You can keep applying but I know that the Monash wont accept transfer applications IF you have completed 2/3 of your degree (that means if you've already finished Year 2 of Arts or whatever, you cannot transfer).

PHYS20008 has a prerequisite of '2 semesters of 1st year Biology' according to the handbook.

Does having passed BIOL10005 Genetics and the Evolution of Life and BIOL10001 Biology of Australian Flora and Fauna fulfill this requirement?

Or did I need the bio subjects to be linked like biol10004 and biol10005

Should be fine since it doesn't say 'sequence'. But double check with the subject coordinator.

Do you reckon I have any chance of going to Queen Mary with a 67 average? I thought I did really well in my exams but apparently not :(

I think Flora and Fauna should be fine

If they wanted only Biol10005 and Biol10004 they would've said it

That said, it might be a good idea to go through the physiology sections of the first year Biology text, since BIOL10004 was the only subject of the three that took a proper look at basic physiology.
