Hey guys how do you register for summer subjects you have failed in semester 2. I can't seem to add linear algebra on the registration page because it says linear algebra is already part of my course structure. Also has anybody done linear algebra during the summer semester? When does it start and end, and when are the exams for it held? Also is it possible to do the first couple of weeks of the course while overseas. Thanks

Apparently MEU play by their own rules and results are delayed until next week

Like ChickenCh0wM1en and chamanderp, I feel dissatisfied with one of my marks, so I sent an email to the subject coordinator asking for when exam viewing sessions were available, to which they replied:
'Exam viewings are available, however Faculty regulations require that these not occur until AFTER the completion of the supplementary exam period.  Accordingly, I have scheduled blocks during O-Week (February 2014) for students to book an exam viewing session if they so desire.'
Does this affect my ability to ask for a remark? Is there a time limit as to when marks cannot be adjusted anymore? :|
Thanks for any help !

No it doesn't affect the ability to ask for a remark. It is usually unlikely that they marked incorrectly though. Good luck!

Exam reviews will usually not warrant a re-mark. Unless they stuff up majorly and miss like an entire page or something.

I don't suppose there's a chance anyone has any notes/lecture videos for Fundamentals of Chemistry? Or any tips on how to get a head start?

AN Meet 2013/14
^
Is anyone going to the ATARnotes meet up on Monday at Flagstaff Gardens? LeviLamp, simpak and I will be there. Outnumbered by Monash students.

I spent a lovely few hours in front of Rowden White Library yesterday night with a fascinating individual. A PhD student in genetics. Rub on tattoos, origami, tried to push him into wom*n's room, etc. We leave our belongings unattended for a few minutes to get a coffee and when we return, my laptop is GONE. VANISHED. NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

I have a nervous breakdown. I sprint to Union House security, where a tired security guard nods. He lectures me repeatedly that there's nothing they can do, you should never leave your belongings unattended, this event occurs all the time. Especially at libraries. I follow him to the elevator and while informing me that laptops are the most commonly stolen items on campus, he unlocks a door. Neatly tucked underneath a table in the storeroom is MY LAPTOP. He hands it to me and says he placed it there for safekeeping, and that he hopes I learnt my lesson. I hugged him repeatedly and yelled that I would never do it again and that I had learnt the true meaning of Christmas. He even looked a bit like Santa.

TL;DR: I was trolled by the Union House security guard.

Thanks Ballerina.  Paging El2012?

Hey guys.  Relative to how many hours I put in, I was kind of disappointed by my overall average this year (82% average across the 6 subjects I took).  I'm supposed to start taking the MD prerequisite subjects next year in case I decide I want to do the GAMSAT and apply for PG Med… but if 82% is too low, or borderline, then I'm thinking maybe I'm just not cut out for Medicine and maybe I should take some other subjects instead?  What do you think?

I was facing a similar dilemma with my course structure with deciding whether or not to bother with med prereqs, but in the end I just decided against it. How much do you really want to do medicine? Is it really something you'd be interested in? If so, by all means try for it. If not...it's an awful amount of study and training for a job you may not enjoy. Is that what you want?
