NO 10-11 am THURSDAY!

omg I can do that

I just spent 15 minutes enrolling in 2:15 - 3:15 Thursday, but I can do that

I'm not sure buttburger can though since he's taking 7 subjects this semester (that's probably not even hyperbole)

For one of my subjects there are literally zero tutorial places left. WHAT DO I DO?

@El2012: Sadly I can't do Genetics, Health and Society this semester :'( But I might do it next year if I decide against Human Rights (which looks harder but more rewarding).

I live a 4 minute walk away from Swinburne University of Technology  ❤ and use their wifi/electricity daily. I was using an empty tutorial room when a teacher waltzed in with a few students, paused, then asked apologetically if the room was reserved. I explained I'm not a Swinburne student and was just using the room to register for my classes at The University of Melbourne. She gave me the dirtiest look and told me to get the hell out.

buttburger, when has bestowing civil rights to humans ever been rewarding?

Your first mistake was admitting you're not a Swinburne student.

50% human phys
75% research phys I believe
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

Can't do El's and Bal's GHS tute slot cuz I have human phys lectures at spot just before  :'(
Although it was full when I went to register anyway

On a different topic, try to print timetable in color, got backgrounds and all but text came in white.
I dun get it

NO. NO. NO. The same day I decided to enrol in UNIB20007, registered, and technically overloaded (due to a February class), I received a call from Aztek Algae that I was offered the lab assistant role. It's perfect. It's a casual position, well paid, great opportunity to gain lab experience to help my chances with UROP. I don't think I can excel at 4 subjects alongside a lab assistant job, though. And my February class starts next week. I'm going on a killing spree

We're actually in 2:15 Thurs because El2012 is a CHAMP, and I notice you have a very beautiful spot available on Thursday. It has the perfect time for lunch between the tutorial and a pathology lecture, cough.

Congratulations!  That's wonderful! May I ask how you found the job in order to apply for it?

Ahahaha thank you. My friend referred me. Another solid method is subscribing to science-y societies etc, and asking your postgrad friends to forward research assistant roles advertised to them through email. I receive them from a few friends and science newsletters, though I was only seeking in November/early December.

I don't think I'll be able to pull 90s with 4 subjects + a lab assistant role. Students like scribble definitely can and have (Pancake Parlour FTW), but I'm not great under pressure. Or getting out of bed.

Case you didn't see it in the other thread, the 2:15 Thurs tute is full, but I'll keep checking.
