So just to clarify, the reading time now begins at the start time listed on the timetable, right?

Yes

Wait, does that include morning exams that have say a 8:30 am start time, does the writing time start at 8:45? :S

The first question sounds much more approachable :O I'm sure you did fine though, its not an easy subject.

I hope I get nicer questions!

The exam is only 30% after all.
Hahaha, everyone did the topic I did. Except for some girl near me who I saw was doing the other one.
I was literally sitting there the whole exam like

Just did the 2nd half of the Calculus 2 exam of Semester 1 last year... No wonder 40% of the people failed as hobbitle said lol... Fuck
If it feels bad now, imagine what it was like when we were sitting that actual paper last year! Haha...

Written-only exams are the worst :((( "Don't write too much", they say. "Use a page for each new answer", they say. "Don't write too much", they say.
Likely end result tomorrow (today?): try to write full page for each of the ~15 questions, only get halfway through the exam.

There was actually a trick to that sorting Q! If you wrote the sort key function that was hinted at, you could have returned (-1 * distance) for the ascending items. Then all your sort function does is sort in descending order based on the sort key. I was so happy when I figured that one out... :PHmm, didn't notice it, you're probs right though...

Still can't get over this elegant solution and kicking myself I didn't see it. Writing code in an exam is stupid.

Don't listen to spalvains or pink0829.
Don't do Fundamentals of Cell Biology. Just don't.

s2g it was a great subject last year. I'm so sorry that wasn't the case this year :( Make sure you write a review if it was that bad, I don't want to lead other people down this path haha. That subject picked my major for me, it sucks that it sounds like it'll turn people away from it now.

what did everyone think about eng maths today?

Thought it was a really good and fair exam.  Everything we covered, exactly what was expected from past exams etc.  No major curveballs.  The only question I messed up was Stoke's theorem (I got two different answers when each part was supposed to be the same) and knew where I'd gone wrong but didn't get time to fix it.  What did you think?
