They actually re-teach the series and sequences (topic 4) that was in calculus 2 in engineering maths, so it should be easier the second time around.

This is a hang-up from when they didn't teach Sequences and Series in Calculus 2 (they only started teaching S&S in Calc 2 in 2013).  Whilst they may keep the 'overlap' aspect of Sequences and Series in the Engineering Mathematics curriculum, I wouldn't be surprised if they pared back on it.  It's the only part of the course that has overlap with Calc 2.

Multiple Choice is usually pretty easygoing and probably the most enjoyable part of the exam for me

But not when there's 26 choices to choose from

MUSCLE & EXERCISE PHYS... THAT EXAM WAS SO HARD

It was sooooo long! I just finished on time, but the guy next to me left 30 minutes early! Whaaaaat

But I'm really happy we only had 187 questions instead of 188 ;)

The only thing that brightened up my day was Charles Sevigny smiling and walking down the aisles.

Ahah my bag in those giant aluminum containers not only magically moved to a different giant aluminum container, but was now on the right side, first shelf instead of left side, fourth shelf. idk what happens to our bags during exams at all.

I bombed on respiration and the cardiac cycle. And am not great at interpreting graphs. I didn't accidentally skip a question so that all subsequent MCQ answers were filled out in the wrong sequence, though. Winning!

I have my muscle and exercise exam at the same time as you and your fellow PHYS20008 students :O
Let's swap exams plz, I can do the muscle & exercise portion of your exam in exchange for you answering 10+ pages of muscle & exercise questions in my exam :D

Ah yes, that subject where despite receiving H1s for the intra-semester assignments, I received a H2B for my final mark :l
DON'T BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY THE FINAL EXAM IS SIMPLE AND LIKE THE TRIAL EXAM THEY GIVE YOU.

I looked for yoouuu and just walked around with an expression like OᵕO, everywhere but did not see your pretty face

'Crafts' because preparing herbarium specimens is not scientific at all, it's much more like art, especially for algae, which are more involved than land vascular plants. Also, I lack the "recommended background knowledge" as well, and will still lack it at the end of the semester. That subject, by all accounts, was a shoddily-run mishmash with no coordination and the people I know who took it also know nothing about the ocean. I doubt it's required, and I think the underlying logic is pretty simple anyway. I might email the coordinator and ask, actually, now you've made me worried >:I

Other reason you should learn about marine flora: it'll give you the hands-on laboratory experience you have so far lacked in your degree. And maybe Aztec Algae will call you again and offer you a job ;)

So I can reject those algae weirdos again? Maybe SEX: Science and the Community, your other suggestion, would be interesting. Hmm.

MUSCLE & EXERCISE PHYS... THAT EXAM WAS SO HARD

EVERYONE I have spoken to has been saying that!! Now I have a bad feeling that I may have just breezed through it and got stuff wrong!  :o
I found it the easiest exam out of Principles of Neuro, Locomoter Systems, and Exercise Phys.
Apart from a couple of really random things (like 4 questions our of 188) which I had NEVER seen before, I was particularly happy with it.

I hope my honestly hasn't made anyone feel bad. Don't worry, lots of other people said they found it hard too.

On a side note: That was my last exam!! FINALLY holidays have come  ;D I haven't had a full day's break from studying since Boxing Day last year (due to studying for GAMSAT, so it feels absolutely amazing to be on holidays, and not have to do a single piece of work for 4 weeks. I haven't been looking forward to a break as much as this one for ages! And I'm going to America next Saturday (not this sat) as well!

I think overall the questions weren't too bad. I feel I may have messed up the really easy stuff though :/

I have no idea how you found it simple.
When did we ever look at muscle dystrophy, anabolic agents etc. in that much detail for the increase/decrease/ no change questions? Never.
I would have still been stumped even if I had studied more than I already had.

I didn't find it simple, as such. I just didn't find the exam or the timing as difficult as other people did. I had 15 mins at the end to go back to questions I circled to come back to as well.

Yes, I do agree they were quite harsh now that I look back on them.
We definitely did not study them in that much detail.
I think that I could have gotten a few wrong!!

Also, what the hell is Stanozolol? I guessed is was a synthetic testosterone, and google says that is right. Good guess by me haha!

Okay so I think I forgot to write and shade in the 3 zero bubbles before my student number (on the mcq answer sheet) in my research methods exam last week - the rest of my mcq answers were aligned correctly but I just shaded in my student number straight off without writing and shading 000 first :( I feel soooo stupid! Does anyone know what kind of problems this might cause?? Or do you think they just correct it themselves before putting it through the scanner?? :( so worried!

I think we fill in our student number twice, once on the top page (written out) and then the bubble thing? They'll probably check the written one
I don't think it should be a problem

Anyone know if we're allowed to use our CAS calculators from last years methods class in tomorrow's physics exam?

lol we're supposed to put 3 0s before our student id on the mcq sheets?

highly unlikely you'll be allowed to use a CAS. if you're allowed calculators it is most likely scientific. check the subject guide, final lecture slides, it will be stated somewhere.
