Open Day Guides interviews started today woohoo. There are ~150 spots and 600 people applied, so don't worry if you don't slip in. Apparently they pass your name onto your faculty for other volunteer positions. They're about 20 minutes long and an estimated dozen students per a group interview.
1. They ask for your name/year level/degree
2. They'll ask one question to each student in the room. They were questions like, "What subject are you looking forward to this semester?" "What have you learnt from university?" Mine was, "Which building is your favourite on campus?" I was like...uh...this one...
3. You'll each be given a map and a card which shows a scenario where someone wants to get from point A to point B. Using the map, you articulate instructions on how to get there. It's similar to this

I was supposed to direct someone to College Crescent, but I don't think it was actually listed on the map bahaha. So I just directed them to the cluster of colleges at the top.
